Weird FS9 problem with throttle

Recommended Posts

Guest Mark Hazeldine

Hi there,I was flying nicely in my F1 c152 yesterday and did an ok landing. I stopped the plane on the runway and without me touching a thing, the plane throttled up to max power by itself! So i moved the throttle forward and back to idle and the power decreased but almost immediately returned to full power again.I've tried closing and reopening FS9, restarting windows, i've tried default planes, add on planes, different airports and even disable the joystick but i just can't get anything to stay at idle power. As far as i'm aware i did nothing to start this happening and i really don't want to reinstall FS!I have CH Products 3-lever USB yoke, USB pedals and Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar all connected, but as i said, the problem is there even with these disabled. Thanks for any clues, Mark.

If you've got XP, do a System Restore to a date just before you noticed the problems. I've done about 10 Restores withmany problems solved.Peter Sydney Australia

Mark,I assume that the Autothrottle is disabled ???? :-)If it is:- Make sure all controllers are calibrated properly.- Make sure that only one controller axis is driving the throttle axis (check this in Options-Controls-Assignments)If still not OK, your fs9.cfg file is probably messed up (did you change your controllers to different USB ports ? ).Best thing to do:- rename the fs9.cfg file to something else.- start FS9 again, which will now build a new fs9.cfg file- check again.I'm almost sure your problem is gone now.Rob
