Ariane design are they real ?

Recommended Posts

Hello allI don’t know if this the right place to discuss this but I am having a problem communicating with Ariane design developer for more than a month now the storey goes like this ?1-After months of hesitation I decided to purchase the B747-700ER for about 110$.2-There was a helpful person just answering my inquiries before the buying I think his name was ED.3-I went through the download and activation process it took two days it was Ok.4-I installed the product, I read the manuals, since I am used to various manuals for my add-ons and my job as a 45 years old engineer.5-I had a problem with the FMC it won't accept the GW in any way (Engine on or off and with various numeric input formats as per manual), and when exiting the flight I get CTD, I researched their web couldn’t find an answer at FAQ, although there was SP2 promised for B737-700er customers?6-My registration to their form was never answered back, the forum link is always broken.7-I tried to contact the same person via e mail and I suddenly get that tough tune e mail saying that Ariane people spend a lot of time to develop manuals and they expect customers to spend more time reading it ? lol I did read it so many times.8-I sent to the support e mail request for help no any answer? So I am asking is this normal for more than 100$ add on, I have products from PMDG, Aerosoft, Coolsky, Flight 1, Welco-Feelthere, Captain Sim, Just flight, REX, My X traffic, quality wings and others, didn’t see that ever so I am asking are they real ? I am saying here I might be wrong I might be missing something but not to get a registration to forum while it is not working and no any support to my problem and those funny e mails give my instructions as if I am little boy ? It’s frustrating. Please if anyone can help me to resolve the issue because I am sure refund is out of question, I truly don’t think there is anything wrong I am doing here.Best regardsAlaa

Alaa, welcome to the world of Ariane, a parallel universe with no regard to the norms of customer service we civilized, internet connected users are familiar with. Their demise is sure to be coming soon, with the imminent release of PMDG's FSX 737NG :(

Well, not to pile on, but experience with Ariane has been mixed. They do seem eccentric, and the FMS is one area they have had problems with. They have been promising a program to allow for the creation of your own procedures, but it has been delayed so long as to become a bad joke. Personally, I gave up on them. There is a lot to like about their 737s, but not enough for me to put up with the irritations. That said, if you join their support forum you can generally get advice from some helpful soul, so I would try that. The old saw about reading the manuals sounds just like them, by the way. It is hard envisioning them surviving PMDG's upcoming 737.

To tell you the truth, We say that the customer is always right, by paying the money I have rights, and my rights seemed to be vanishing away because I am on line customer lol, I have to say that with the problems I experienced with the plane it was unflyable because I am more into real simming, however, the model looked so nice, some new features that are interesting, it fly very well, I loved the plane.....all what I needed was some to come and tell me ok hold on for another 6 month wait for SP ? .....I sent an e mail saying that the GW was 166325LPS, so I entered it as per manual 166.325 (engine off) and not working ?? I tried 166 166.0 166.3 etc none is working I get an e mail saying try 172 lol ?? it's amazing.

As Tim said, opinions on Ariane are mixed. I have their FS9 737-700 and I used to like it a lot. It really wasn't a bad deal considering the price versus the stuff you got and I was happy. Moreover, I hadn't had any problems with activation and always got the help I needed. However, then came iFly, and suddenly the reason to use the Ariane 737 vanished. Soon we will have the PMDG 737 for FSX, and that will be the reason to stop using the Ariane 737 series for FSX. People, let me be clear: there is no reason whatsoever anymore to buy Ariane. Both FS9 and FSX have/will have a great 737NG simulation.Ariane is a real company, with real people working there and it is no fake thing. But, as I said, you have no reason to buy from them anymore...

With the NGX growing ever closer I'm rather curious why you'd spend money on a 737 from ANY company right now, let alone Ariane... :(

This is all thanks to Captain Sim, also waiting for its 727's demise once Dreamfleet gets a new release of their 727 for FSX :(

Looks like a "for him only", I think. You know, after the Airsimmer Airbus gets into FSX ... :( Back to topic. What is it about Ariane that they always catch up the emotions and of course conspiracy theories?Every few weeks there's some guy waiting for his product or realizing that he spent a large amount of money on an aircraft without looking further than the front page of the website.Don't get me wrong, I bought one plane there too and can't say anything bad about the (re-)activation time or service but about the quality of the aircraft which doesn't convince me about this being a good buy with high value. I should have looked closer here, my fault. As for the company, there's an obvious policy of getting some money in the bank. Think about a cheaper update to your current product? There won't be one.Think about a free addon for the really outdated navdata on that bird? Sorry. Maybe, after years of waiting, Navigraph supports them soon. Too late for some customers and not Navigraph's fault. Those are sad facts but these shouldn't fill threads every few weeks.A simple forum search brings up all of this and I can tell you: that's what I've missed in the past :blush:At least, if some threads get filled, please stop all these bashing and "welcome to the club" phrases and reduce them to simple facts. That's my wish, if I'm able to do.

SirWith all do respect and away of conspiracy theories, and the assumption of plain people want to press F4 and fly..... I am here saying that the simple phrase "Technical support" does not exist for me, Forum is not working, and funy messages coming from the support e mail, now I don't have to prove myself to you or any one else but simply i have the PMDG MD-11, 747-400/800i Captain Sim B767, 757, C-130 and QW757, Aerosoft Airbus -X, Coolsky MD-80 I also have the E-jest from feel there / Welco and also regional jest and other 10s of add-ons all working fine, which is none of them I had similar episode with, if you go now to Flight 1 forum and see my thread yesterday (although it was a stupid question for something I purchased 2 years ago) and see how was their response it gives a clue about the kind of service you expect, my topic had almost 400 reviews and 15 replies and NONE mentioned that there is a working forum for them or give me a hint about what I am doing wrong with FMC or why my computer crashing only when i use their add-on.Again I don't mean harm for any one i am only seeking help
