Is v4.12 the latest version of Make Runways?I haven't sat and watched it compile before but it appears to compile by scanning each scenery layer in the scenery.cfg, starting at [Area.001] and finishing at [Area.999].The problem is that I have 1147 scenery layers, and (for instance) all my South American add-on sceneries are in layers above 1000.Won't this potentially cause problems with Radar Contact?John

OK - jumped the gun on that, sorry. I see it is on v4.41 now. I'm not sure how I came to get such an old version as I only bought Radar Contact a couple of months ago.Anyway - 4.41 has scanned above 999 so hopefully all is well now.John

No, that is very very old. Why not simply check the download site, the same place you get FSUIPC? The current version there is 4.41. There's a later one, 4.43 on my Support Forum, in the Updates Announcement. These are the places to check, and also to keep your FSUIPC up to date, as you should.

Wow! And they work? MS must have extended this in FS9 because certainly older versions of FS would not go past 999.[LATER] I see you found 4.41.4.43 should be on that download site, as I sent it to Enrico Schiratt some time ago. I'll have to remind him. Meanwhile you can get that, along with other FSUIPC and utility updates and documents from my Support Forum.RegardsPete

Thanks for your pointers Pete,I hadn't realised it was one of your products, should have put my brain in gear before posting - excuse is recovery from a spell of illness and an irresistable urge to fly.Yes, you can have over 1000 layers in FS2004 (mine due to an interest in world-wide geography, of which Flight Simulator gives me a taste) although the Scenery Library window will imply otherwise. I use FSNav to add/remove/modify the scenery.cfg which handles large numbers of layers well.Best wishes,John
