October 7, 201015 yr SWEET!....are the Analouge guages done in 3d like the duke too? I've seen that you got the DA42 installed (finally), and noted the humor. :( As it happens, the DA42 gauges are mine as well as the C310R's (except for the default FSX G1000). I didn't bother with reworking the G1000 for the C310R because it would have increased the sales price.Owners of the Mindstar G1000 have the option to participate in the public beta, meaning that Navigraph support is available for them, along with all of the variations for different aircraft's displays."aircraft displays"???? What do you mean. I would buy that mindstar if it would work in a VC or two...cant find any screens anywhere with one working in a VC Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
October 7, 201015 yr Ron, as far as I understood the guys, the special prepared aircraft work out of the box with the mindstar in the VC. Two of them are the C310 and the DA42. I hope there are more to come. For all other ones, this beta access or some additional knowledge might be needed.Would be nice if some insider could post a list of more planes with Mindstar support (in the VC) and little or no editing work needed to enable it. Beta or not isn't a big deal here. Some people could get attracted by this list :( Thanks for the info about the betas having Navigraph support on the surely nice Mindstar. I'll follow this progress closely but I'll always have an eye on the upcoming F1 release too.So far, the DA42 tweaked default gauge is a nice and welcome rendition of the G1000 with no extra cost and the described EFB combination enables Navigraph too.Good work on this, n4gix and glad you liked the humor in the other forums. What about the Piper Twin Comanche from Eaglesoft when compared to the C310? Any input from pilots around?
October 7, 201015 yr SWEET!....are the Analog gauges done in 3d like the Duke too?Yes!What about the Piper Twin Comanche from Eaglesoft when compared to the C310? Any input from pilots around? The Comanche, although nice in it's time, looks dated by comparison. No contest.. Bert
October 7, 201015 yr The Comanche, although nice in it's time, looks dated by comparison. No contest..Agreed, she's older but the package still looks detailed and well done to me. So the future customer might compare Duke, Twin Comanche and C310 and he will be right in having chosen each one of them as they are in one class. Already owning one of those three surely minimizes the chance of buying another one in the same class. He doesn't go back to FS2002 optics when choosing the oldest one and he doesn't get the FDE of a single engine when choosing the other one, so I see them as good alternatives. And dated optics alone (although, judging from the screens, the Comanche looks good to me) don't make the game as a large amount of "dated" Level D guys in FSX will show you, while having much better looking alternatives (without lacking essential functions) on the market. So personal preference again and far away from "no contest" in my eyes.
October 7, 201015 yr Already owning one of those three surely minimizes the chance of buying another one in the same class.Maybe.. or maybe not..I actually prefer flying "personal sized" piston powered airplanes, rather than airliners. And just like airliner captains want to have every airliner ever made.. I enjoy havinga personal collection of nice, shiny personal size airplanes. So, yes, I fly the Duke, the Bonanza, the Seneca, the Baron, the C310 and the Twin Comanche, even a turboprop like the C441, Malibu, or Cheyenne from time to time. There is a saying that "past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior" :( Bert
