Worship International CJCR a real airport?

Featured Replies

I did some searching and, for some reason, I can't seem to find this airport. It is not listed in FS2004 and I can't seem to find it on any map or on the internet. I checked Eluthera and another island called Elutheria. I probably missed it somewhere!! Is this a new airport in the Bahamas? The scenery is really GREAT and shows a lot of hard work went into this project. Thanks for any help!Airbus

Yes, most of the scenery is not in real life. The only scenery so far that is real is the MYEG (Exuma International Airport). I should know I fly out of there quite a bit. It's excellent scenery pick it up if you like flying around the Bahamas. Exuma is absolutely one of the most beautiful islands in The Bahamas.CYAEDIT: Of course I could be biased in this respect!! :)

I think it appropriate, personally, that authors who upload fictional work make that clear in the upload description. Don't get me wrong; there is some excellent fictional work about, especially for the Pacific Northwest and the Caribbean, and Jimmy has put tremendous effort into his own contributions; but I find it a little frustrating personally when it is not made clear whether or not an airport or its surroundings are for real. Many do make it clear, I know, and thank you for that. FS is as much an educational tool these days as it is a flightsim and I think that, particularly for younger simmers, clarity is important. Just my view, of course.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Thanks for everyone's responses. I agree. Scenery and aircraft author's should indicate that their work is fictional if it is. I particularly enjoy many of the bush flying airstrips which, I believe in some cases, are fictional. But this is all part of this great hobby! Enjoy them all!Airbus

I find it frustrating too. I actually find most of these fake airports poorly done and cartoonish looking. Not my cup of tea.Michael J.

I just ran across your comments on my CJCR.CJCR was originally created as a virtual airport for FS2002 as a single runway after trying to extend the Rock Sound runway. It represented a real life future project of our ministry which never took off, so to speak. The Ministry did but not the aviation aspect of it due to my health reasons. The same reasons I cannot use my pilots license today.CJCR is the ONLY virtual airport, other than one in Scotland (created for someone) for FS2002. All of my other airports are improvements over stock airports. St Maarten was used by a Connecitut helo flying school for use by their trainees.KSPG, Albert Whitted for FS9 & FSX is totally accurate and photo real created by request of Albert Whitted Airport Preservation Society, of which I am now an honary member. It took 9 long months to complete that historical airport.KBUY, Burlington-Alamance, NC was created with accurate nav aids to aid pilots flying in and out of there for the World Furniture Markets held here in High Point, NC. It is available by download or from their flight school.MYXE for FS9 was photo real with the cooperation of the Florida Marine Institute. The FSX version is not photo-real.Thank you for allowing me to clear up this matter.Happy flying!jimmy R martin
