MD11X loss of axis on autopilot disconnect

Featured Replies

I have had this several times now, and am at my whit's end as to troubleshooting the problem.I start up in the default Cessna at the airport of my choice for the day and enter the data into the FMS. Route, weather info, and so on...Now, on approach, I disconnect the AP, when I do it seems to have little effect... I lose an axis, be it the elevator (today for example) or ailerons (yesterday for example). Whatever I do, I cannot regain the axis, and the landing will only work if I go around and get onto autopilot as quickly as possible and come in for an autoland.May I add that it does not happen all the time, but often, particularly on a point to point flight. I have only experienced it once so far when flying around one airport...I run a C2D E8500 overclocked to 3.4GHz, running the 3Gb switch for FS, on FSX Acceleration (Gold), 4Gb RAM installed, with a userva of 2600 for the 3Gb switch, FSX is installed on its own drive, a WDRaptor 150Gb.Any one have any ideas? If you want more information, let me know and I will see what I can find to give you...Thanks in advance...Andrew

Have "merged" the issue with another thread...Only noticed that one just this morning...Andrew

I just had this issue yesterday. I have never seen it before and I have been using the md-11 since it was released. It is very strange and does not appear to be a joystick issue but a software glitch somewhere.Andrew Zapata
