Benn watching this project for a while now. I must say it looks real real sweet and it's due for release sometime today or tomorrow-I will be the first to get it, that I can assure you ;)http://www.flyoss.com/egkk.htmJohnP 2.53 GHZ512 RAMWINXPGFORCE 4 128MB Ti4600http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewerhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

it is nice that you can afford $25 for one airport! :)

Well, being a student, I wouldnt say I could afford $25 which is ~E20 but I'll certainly budget for it!You have to put it into perspective, I mean I fly out of and into EGKK at least once a day...And besides, it aint far off the mark with Simflyers being 18.50, which are only partly GMAX. From the screenshots of this airport, it'll knock the socks off any other addon airport out thereJohnP 2.53 GHZ512 RAMWINXPGFORCE 4 128MB Ti4600http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewerhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

Actually I have UK2000 parts 3 and 4.Sure, they're great airports-for FS2000.The textures look aged and the night lighting aint great... I'd also like to add that the gates are not animated. Now, if you cared to translate

It looks very nice!I lived right next door to Gatwick for 7 years and worked at the airport for most of that time (a lot of it airside) and the pics look extremely accurate. It may tempt me to buy it as well, as I have EGKK as my defualt airport in FS9....not having the AFCAD and AI stuff is annoying but thats the deal with most all FS9 addon airports atm.I also have purchased Garry Summons work in the past and recently bought his volume 6 as I live in Wales now and just had to have it for the local airports round here. He is working on a Gatwick Pro I think, but I have to say OSS have done a great job on this it seems....was that the Lowfield Heath church I saw in one of the pics!...awesome, I used to be based in that side of the airport, looks like they have it all covered :-)Deffinately worth considering! I had no idea somebody else was doing Gatwick so I appreciate the heads up!CheersDave

If anyone gets this scenery let us know what you think of it. I have been looking to get some more payware airport scenery of the 3 main London airports and this Gatwick version looks great!

Hi there, I don't really post in this forum much but do read it a lot, and just wanted to say a few things.First of all, OSS may be a company based in the US but the 2 lead designers of EGKK are actual both Gatwick locals, myself included, and the other is soon working there. I'm sure we boosted the economy the amount of times we had to go there to take pictures : )The price is based on the sheer love, work and time gone into this scenery. Not to mention the costs of the company, which is only going to just break-even.Whether or not you purchase it just depends on your tastes. If you want a large expansion with many airports, then Gary's work is the way to go. If you want to recreate an experience at EGKK very faithfully and with the latest FS9 standard. Then OSS is the way to go.Please also don't forget that the price includes our AI which we have designed. No more looking around for extra AI and manual installations. We're integrating it all into the product. Building the different aircraft and painting them in realistic liveries takes a long time (currently FS2002 only). We also committing ourselves to updating EGKK 2004 whnever a new technology arises or for any future expansion of the airport. So you can expect that early next year we will have updates going strong to keep up with the industry.Hope this answers a few questions.OliOSS lead scenery designerLondon

ps, just so you know, I also used to do work for Gary Summon's on texturing etc, and the groundwork for the Manchester scenery.Oli

Hi Oli,I saw that on your site that some of the team were 'local' and it does seem in the sceenshots that you guys have it sussed as to accuracy :-).....dunno why some people see it as a big deal where the addon developers come from tho....at the end of the day it's quality and accuracy that counts and I couldn't care less if you guys came from outer Mongolia or even Mars if it fits the bill :-lolAs I said in a previous post, I have Gary's work, but I am very interested in your version of Gatwick as I use it everytime I fly in FS9...now all I gotta do is convince the wife I need another addon! ;-)CheersDave

You've said that you're putting in your own AI traffic. Well I hope you include an option so that I can remove that traffic and add my own. Thanks.

Hi, one of the designers is a very good friend of mine, He lives in the Uk and very much know Gatwick... the work that has been turned out is out of this world!!!Oli has made great textures and I say.. very accurate!!I can remember when this project was first started...and now to see it finished is just..excellent!!WELL DONE ! ! I'l Surely Buy It!!!!

thanks for the kind comments Airtours, much appreciated. Now about the AI, we are giving the user the option. It's quite simple, we don't want to force it on anyone. There will be 3 options.1 - to install only the AFCAD parking positions for EGKK 20042 - to install the AFCAD positions and our AI planes3 - to install none of it but keep the files for a future installation.Once the AI is FS2004 compatible I think the options should be more or less the same. Don't worry the AI will be a loooot easier to handle than with LCY2003. Hopefully people will notice that we've actually listened to all constructive crtisism from LCY 2003 and have changed accordingly, and will continue to do so.You can wait and see what UK2000 comes up with first for their Gatwick, but the fact is, by then ours will probably be a totally different product anyway. I can't stress enough that we are going to update it as much as we possibly can. You can wait a few months and take a risk, but personally I would rather fly what the best is now ;)Best regards, Oli.
