Can someone help me with the PMDG 747x

I bought a perfectly legit version of the PMDG 747 for FSX are encountering a few problems.Firstly, when ever I go to select the PMDG options at the top during flight flight simulator crashes. Why is this?At the moment it's running okay on my system with a core 2 duo processor 2.31 GHz I was wondering whether or not getting a new processor at 4 GHz would improve frame rates.

Hi, I'm curious about a basic thing you may be lacking since you mentioned crashing when accessing the FSX menu. Do you hav the UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL file for VISTA installed on the root of your FSX folder?Though, I assume from your post that you had no FSX crashes before installing FSX? I have had the PMDG 744X and have had no crashes but I DID install the uiautomationcore.dll file which is required. Otherwise, you will have crashes randomly when you access any item in the FSX menu.If you do have the uiautomationcore.dll vista version (and you have Windows 7 running FSX), then it's best you post in the PMDG forum or if it gets bad, send a ticket to PMDG via their website:http://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/Default.aspxHope this helps you a bit...John

PMDG has a support forum here in AVSIM. You should get support directly from then, in their general forum http://forum.avsim.net/forum/351-pmdg-general-forum/ or on the specific 747X forum http://forum.avsim.net/forum/352-pmdg-747-400/
