November 6, 201015 yr Has anyone configured the FS9 DreamFlight 727 series for A2A/Shockwave 3D Lights Redux? I have searched their forums and cannot find anything. If you have a config that works, I'd be grateful if you would share it or post it on their forum.A related problem is that the taxi lights illuminate the ground just great in spot view but there is no discernible effect when taxiing from the cockpit, which is usually the prefered position. :( Any ways to tweak this? The landing lights do seem to throw some very discreet spots way out in the distance - not particularly helpful in my view but at least they do something. The runway turn off lights do not seem to work - are they just eye candy? Also, can anyone give me some guidance as to which hot spots on the ASI move which bugs? I cannot find it in the manual and so far my attempts to figure it out by trial and error have been a tiring trial that has resulted in lots of errors but no answers? :( There seem to be at least four movable bugs (white). There are hot spots on the top left corner, top right corner, middle right side, lower right side. I assume these trigger the "80 kts" call out, V1, VR and V2. But darned if I can get it all to work.Any ideas?

November 7, 201015 yr Author The lights config file that Jim gave work great. The problem remains that there's very little illumination from the cockpit with the landing lights and none at all with taxi lights but I guess that's the model? The Shock Wave lights do look awesome in the outside views though! If anyone can give me some help with the V-speed bugs on the ASI, I would be grateful. It's frustrating to have completely lost the take off calls. Somehow all the bugs got zeroed, and nothing I have tried seems to place them in the right sequence. Have checked the manual over and over - nada
November 8, 201015 yr I noticed that there was a mis-identified light and I could not find what light fx_df727_wingl1 did. Correcting the first, removing the second, left room for a center taxi light. This also allows the tail strobe to be activated. I think this gives a better set. Feel free to change the actual lights to your personal preference or if you know which ones the 727 actually used. 727-100[Lights]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing 6=Taxi 7=Recognition 8=Wing 9=Logo 10=Cabinlight.0 = 3, -94.20, -53.50, -1.16, fx_df727_navredh,light.1 = 3, -94.20, 53.50, -1.16, fx_df727_navgreh,light.2 = 1, -45.63, 0.00, 8.30, fx_shockwave_beaconh,light.3 = 3,-101.90, -53.15, -1.25, fx_Shockwave_navwhi_l,light.4 = 3,-101.90, 53.15, -1.25, fx_Shockwave_navwhi_l,light.5 = 1, -67.49, 0.00, -6.20, fx_shockwave_beaconb,light.6 = 2, -95.38, -53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_2,light.7 = 2, -96.00, -53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_3,light.8 = 2, -95.38, 53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_2,light.9 = 2, -96.00, 53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_3,light.10 = 10,-19.50, 0.00, 2.05, fx_shockwave_vclight_l,light.11 = 5, -69.30, 22.35, -2.40, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.12 = 5, -69.30, -22.35, -2.40, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.13 = 8, -62.40, -6.50, 0.50, fx_df727_wingl2,light.14 = 8, -62.40, 6.50, 0.50, fx_df727_wingl2,light.15 = 5, -57.70, -5.80, -2.30, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.16 = 5, -57.70, 5.80, -2.30, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.17 = 6, -24.20, 0.00, -7.20, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow,light.18 = 2,-144.40, 0.00, 20.75, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_2,//light.17 = 8, -54.70, 6.30, 1.18, fx_df727_wingl1,//light.18 = 8, -54.70, -6.30, 1.18, fx_df727_wingl1, 727-200[Lights]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing 6=Taxi 7=Recognition 8=Wing 9=Logo 10=Cabinlight.0 = 3, -94.20, -53.50, -1.16, fx_shockwave_navred,light.1 = 3, -94.20, 53.50, -1.16, fx_shockwave_navgre,light.2 = 1, -45.63, 0.00, 8.30, fx_shockwave_beaconh,light.3 = 3,-101.90, -53.15, -1.25, fx_Shockwave_navwhi_l,light.4 = 3,-101.90, 53.15, -1.25, fx_Shockwave_navwhi_l,light.5 = 1, -67.49, 0.00, -6.20, fx_shockwave_beaconb,light.6 = 2, -95.38, -53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_2,light.7 = 2, -96.00, -53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_3,light.8 = 2, -95.38, 53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_2,light.9 = 2, -96.00, 53.75, -1.12, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_3,light.10 = 10, -9.50, 0.00, 2.05, fx_shockwave_vclight_l,light.11 = 5, -69.70, -22.35, -2.40, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.12 = 5, -69.70, 22.35, -2.40, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.13 = 8, -62.40, -6.50, 0.50, fx_df727_wingl2,light.14 = 8, -62.40, 6.50, 0.50, fx_df727_wingl2,light.15 = 7, -57.70, -5.80, -2.30, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.16 = 5, -57.70, 5.80, -2.30, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down,light.17 = 6, -14.20, 0.00, -7.20, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_narrow,light.18 = 2,-154.40, 0.00, 20.75, fx_shockwave_strobe_l_2,//light.17 = 8, -54.70, -6.30, 1.18, fx_df727_wingl1,//light.18 = 8, -54.70, 6.30, 1.18, fx_df727_wingl1,--Jim
November 8, 201015 yr Thanks for the lighting configuration. When I saw this posted the other day I bought the program just to use it.I answered your question about the speed bugs at the other forum, but if you open either the panel or aircraft.cfg files you can manually enter the speed values for the bugs.Sorry I can't remember which file it is as I'm not on one of the systems that has the DF727 loaded. I'll be flying later today using that system and I will see if I can dig up whichfile it is. It might not be either one. I'll check though.

I may have the bugs figured out, though I thought I had already tried this sequence and it didn't work the first time. Anyway, for anyone else that has the same problem, the hot spots start from the top left and work their way from left to right and then down the right side. The first one gives the 80 kts callout, the second V1, then rotate, then V2 and the final one doesn't seem to be functional but I would assume it would be for flap retraction? I just did a take off and it all seemed to work again but as I don't know what caused the problem in the first place, it's likely to happen again! So that file would be great to haveThanks
November 9, 201015 yr The file you are looking for is in the FS general folder. Scroll down past all of the folders and look for an individual file, GA727.cfg. That's the file you need to open.Scoll down untill you see 'bug_speed'. You'll be able to enter your own bug speeds. The next time you open FS ensure you open with the Cessana at Seattle and then switch to the DF727.

November 14, 201015 yr Downloading the updated wrapper did the trick. Installed without an issue. I had an issue with the config manager, but a search on their forums led to a needed system file that solved that as well. On my way to Munich as we speak (type). Thanks for the tip! - Aaron
