Please release vc rain effects in an update Carenado

Featured Replies

Please, it really adds to the immersion of flying.

Please make it an option only as it reduces frame rates significantly and quite frankly looks crap if not done properly.

Cheers, Andy.

I'd rather see a bad effect than none at all. They go through all that trouble for reflective windows (which you can turn off) but no weather effects? Makes no sense.

I agree: my current rain effect seems to provide a 30 ft. umbrella over to top of the caravan. It's kind of awful.

FS9 should suit you perfectly then. :)

a window effect is easy. the rain effect require a bit more knowledge and I am afraid there is none otherwise you would have seen it long ago in carenado FSX planes

Actually Lotus Sim did a pretty good job in the L39, I still think it looks a bit pants though, I'd rather it not be there at all because the frame rate hit isn't worth the effect. It looks realistic up to about 30 knots, after that the droplets are far too big and don't move anywhere near fast enough, i.e. you always look like you are doing 30 even if you are doing 630.

Cheers, Andy.

PMDG did it in the JS4100, RealAir did it in the Duke, and of course the L39. Its not impossible it just requires effort.

and anthony did it in his tecnam.. a oneman developer.. now that says something and his plane is half the price of carenado.http://www.antsairpl.../sierralsa.html

It is sad, but this fine LOOKING plane is missing many small things and defects that never should have been left out or fixed prior to release....not at its price tag.How Carenado handles this, will have an effect on much future business.
