One of my favorite visual queue's is the 3 degree glide-path marker.

How is it generated? Not all ILSs are exactly at 3 degree so I wonder if this reference is always set at 3 or somehow it conforms to how steep the GS is.

Michael-You establish the parameters for the specific ILS approach by input to the HUGS controller located on the center pedestal.The parameters that you enter are then displayed on the combiner...Pretty nifty stuff....I've been having a ton of fun shooting approaches with it...(I mean... testing it thoroughly for quality and completeness of operation. :( )

This is really amazing!

My understanding of that limitation in the VRS F/A-18 is that it was a compromise - limiting the HUD to the combiner frame would also remove the visible trail when a missile is fired, something which is not an issue in the 737.Nice to see the NGX making progress.

I checked it out on their forum and you're right (should have done that before I started talking lol) - I've removed the posts about it as a result.

What I really love is the color of the tapes, The default tape color in the 747X honestly doesn't feel right in the VC, I've always tried to make it more realistic, but i can never get the right color. I wish the color in the 2D panel of the 747X would be same as in VC, the default VC tapes color are too light imo.

TrackIR does take a bit of getting 'used to' Ryan but it is excellent - just needs a bit of time for you to adjust lol.Absoutely smashing - amazing that there is information to be gleaned to make this possible really - it'll sure be fun to use that's for sure especially hand flying. Absolutely astonishing, knowing that has been built within the limitations of FSX ! This has not only raised, but completely obliterated, the benchmark for complex simulations in FSX. Once this comes out (don't worry I am not going to raise the thorny issue of release dates ....take your time and get it right) other developers are going to have re-think their game.
