I must say I find the concept of hand flying a plane with the A/T on somewhat bizarre. The few times I've tried flying approaches like that it felt like I was flying with one hand tied behind my back. It just felt wrong having to control the glideslope with the stick. Probably a personal preference thing.About the original question. Is there going to be a provision in the NGX for aligning the physical with the in-sim throttles before A/T disc.?
I don't know an awful lot about the Airbus, but a friend who went from FO 744 to Capt A320 said one of the trickiest things to get used to was NOT touching the thrust levers on approach. In the Boeing aircraft at his company (the same company I'm most closely involved with) it is a case of AP and A/T both on, or neither, but never one and not the other.Edit: With the exception of the takeoff, which, as already mentioned, where A/T is on and AP is not yet on.As for the original question, I DO know that a throttle controller position indicator was mentioned as a feature that was being looked into. Whether it makes the final product is not a matter for me to comment on sorry.

I have to say I am a bit puzzled of the lack of screenshots from the PMDG team.... All of us here are very patient and I don't understand why a couple of external shots are not shown to help us wait a bit longer.... I believe as faithful customers (because after all we are customers), we could be a little bit more considerated....After all it doesn't cost anything to show a few external shots...Just my 2 cent...Gregory
Maybe there's a problem. Explains the lack of updates, lack of external pictures, and much else. Maybe the external model is vaporware.

Ryan, can you please hint on whats happening at the moment, I'm dying checking these forums, hourly, and once I saw your name as last replied, I freaked out in excitement, I'm not asking for photos, videos, or even a release date, just whats happening, you don't even have to go into detail, just a heads up of whats going on, or expected eta, or there was a delay of some-sort. If you can Thanks a Million.

Well, they said serveral times now that they are pushing for beta... can only imagine that things are not going as fast as they planned/hoped. About a year ago there was this post that was 'first in a series...' that would lead to a release. I guess their estimation of release date was a bit optimistic. I always thought that there would be an update every 2 weeks and the release was near. Just waiting now. Ryan said the bird would be available this year before we even know it... patience my friends!
