A little Heads-Up on the NGX...

Featured Replies

I am surprised by Ryan's post, I am not quite sure what tone it was meant.
You're telling me. It was certainly not the tone I intended to use in my post in which he responded to. I simply said it wouldn't take very long to post a few screenshots, and that we have waited so long now it doesn't really matter how much longer we wait. Sort of like the Level-D 757...Indeed maybe the next release should be handled like Level-D has handled the 757. Though that still doesn't stop people from asking about it. I guess there's a downside to using forums and facebook for these purposes. Maybe a blog with comments turned off would be a better way to show updates. I know Lotus did that with the L-39 and it was an easy way to follow the progress without being all messy. Hmm... :(

What about creating a single locked thread with all the screenshots and information that robert/vin/ryan has given us. Not new information, but just what's already been said. Whenever there IS something to post it's posted there.I think a lot of these posts asking for updates are from people who rarely come to the forum and have no idea that there are all kinds of great tidbits scattered throughout all these preview posts. Yes it would take some time to compile all of that information into a post, but it may help both sides of the frustration.
Excellent Idea :( :( :( B) B)

Dear Ryan et al.I am a serial reader on this sub forum, but rare poster, however i think a few things need to be highlighted:You guys are running/working for a professional registered internet business that to my knowledge would have gross earnings high above many other busineses in the US. Yet, both yourself and Robert whom i have the utmost respect for have at times sacrificed your professionalism in a way that many people would lose their job over, yet by virtue of the fact that you are a faceless company, on two occasions you both have manipulated and abused that facelessness and breeched the respect that 95% of the those who patiently wait for your products and invest/pay/support the venture you are so passionate about. I would suggest there are many things you could do to mititgate some of the rubbish that happens on here, that as a company is far more constructive than post deleting that will only ever end in you guys losing your cool. But id prefer not to discuss these ideas openley, more than happy to discuss it via PM.I look foward to the 737 NG, please dont rush it.....just dont lose your high standard professionalism in the process that would be a tragedy.Cheers,Josh Hicks

Time to lock that thread and keep if only for next info. It's turning into something smelling bad.

Look guys, I understand this is taking longer than we'd all like - I'm the one that has to come into the forum every morning and see the attacks, delete the stupid threads that people have posted against the rules overnight etc. You never even see half the stuff that actually gets posted here - I was quite upset by a couple of different things earlier this morning and if you were upset by what I posted, I'm sorry.I do think people are not even reading what we've already said before they start up with the posts asking for updates and so on. Someone just two posts above me asked if we could say "The 737NGX is taking more time than we thought. The project is moving forward as fast as we can, we are all pushing for the beta version." We've said essentially exactly that numerous times. The number of updates we do does not affect when you get the airplane and I'm just not sure what this is doing for people to demand constant updates from us. The external model is not ready to show. Neither are the other things that people have asked about. When they are ready, we will show them. I'm constantly amazed that people think we have some ulterior motive here, that we're actually done with the plane but just sitting on it and not releasing or showing screenshots as part of some plot to ###### everyone off. We're not.
Ryan, I am supprised you don't just close the thread until release , I too wait for the ngx but I don,t understand why other forum members write such nonsense .I'll continue to check everyday , but it's ready when it's ready . easy peeezy .Regards

.

How about everyone just live their lives for whats it worth living for? This is a flightsimulator addon - I'we said it before, there is more important things in life than bragging and yawning about this 'NGX'. It will be ready and released when the team says its ready and there is nothing -NOTHING- we can do about it.Speaking for myself, I'll be leaving for a long weekend trip to New York City this weekend, hopefully will the 'storm watch' from TWC come as rain so that JFK remains open :(

Hi All,my first posting here, although I normally visit two or three times a week.Surely the best way would be for a 'locked' topic from PMDG, concerning any updates, progress or screenshots and a separate topic where people can complain or ask for wingflex (oops sorry, wrong forum) or a certain bolt to be visible, or whatever. If relevant an answer could be posted in the 'official' topic. To be perfectly honest, while some of the topics are quite interesting, most of the others are boring, repetitive dross and even only looking two or three times a week you tend to lose interest and sometimes it's as if there are a pack of baying hounds on the loose.I to, look forward to the 737, I owned the FS9 version and I am becoming more excited as the day for release gets closer. (well, it's not going to get further away, is it?) But I can wait, I've got lots of other stuff to fly.John B. Hansenoops, I didn't realise I'd posted before, must go for a lie down :( Cheers,John B. I think its taking longer to do , becuase Ryan said the external model isnt ready to show,, so i think they forgot to put the engines on, that means its taking a long time becuase they havent worked out how to get power yet.. I think thats the sole reason for the delaythat is all,

We should all be happy it's not the real thing-Boeing said it will deliver its first 787 Dreamliner in the third quarter after an electrical fire and power failure in November forced a month-long suspension of flight testing. The first delivery, to All Nippon Airways, had been expected in February.November's incident was the latest setback for the wide-body jet, which has seen its debut pushed back more than three years beyond the original delivery date. Still, Boeing shares were up 1% in premarket trading. Analysts had expected delivery no earlier than mid-2011.

This is my first post on this subject to do with pmdg`s NGX i`ve been quietly sitting on the sidelines checking this thread once every couple of months. It strikes me that some of you cant read or are not willing to accept what pmdg are saying, By hounding them you aint gonna get any more info out of them oreven get the add on released any quicker. To be honest if modelling the aircraft was that easy we`d all be creating are own and put pmdg out of business. So some of you should take a step back and let pmdg get on with finishing this product without hounding them,Can you imagine if RW airlines behavedlike this, Airbus & Boeing would probably never get an aircraft out of the factorySo as the saying goes patience is a virtueKeep up the good work pmdg love your productsJust my 2c
