I want total realism in my airbus

Featured Replies

Currently, we still don't have an accurate depiction of an Airbus in FS. The closest we came to one was with Airsimmer's Airbus for FS9...but that flopped. Aerosoft said that it will be coming out with an "advanced" version of its Airbus X, but we'll see how that goes.
Well, that's all because the AirSimmer model is currently the "pants" Basic Model. They kept on promising for an Advanced model and an FSX model, yet no updates so far. Wonder if they ran off with our hard-earned money....Flight Sim Labs have started work on the A320, but a month is still to go if the plane is going to be on the haywire markets by now. Funny enough, all of the advertised features will exceed the capabilities of FSX itself, unless it uses an external program similar to the Accu-Sim program from A2A Simulations. Dave.

That's no too surprising really, most half-decent FS add-on step outside the standard SDK via XML and stuff like that in order to expand upon the basic capabilities of the sim, which amongst other things is why many of them can't use the shared cockpit feature etc. Any developer making an even remotely realistic Airbus for FS will certainly have to do that.Al

Well, if that's the case with payware, what about FSX native freeware? Dave.

Incidentally, the Wilco Airbus packages are also supposedly in line for a tart up in a similar vein to what Aerosoft have planned for their A320.
And does anyone know what's happened to that? There was an announcement on AVSIM a while back and then - as far as I'm aware - nothing. I'd love to hear more about what's intended.. Ian

He's not as hardcore as we were led to believe from his initial post.
