November 29, 201015 yr Hi all,After having done a lot of searching I found a good tutorial to put a VC into the Posky 777 and use it in FSX.A good 777 I really missed in FSX.However I like to use a FMC , even if it is a bit basic.I looked at Friendly panels , but am not sure if this can be put into the VC.Beside that I would like to have a working EFIS.Even a 2d FMC/EFIS which can be brought up as a window when flying with the VC.Also seeing the flightroute on the Nav display would be nice. Has anyone of you experimented with this and came with a good working solution ? 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

November 29, 201015 yr Integrated Sim Avionics will be what you are after, they are fantastic and well worth the price for the abilities they give you to soup up aircraft. There is a functioning Smiths FMC in the package as well as a replacement B777 primary flight display, so ISG is a great choice for tarting up simpler B777s.I've used ISG's avionics with my payware Aerosim Boeing Triple Seven and that works very well indeed, giving me a very convincing 777 that can fly LNAV and VNAV. It was be a bit finicky to get things into the VC though since I had to do all that myself, but for more commonly used FS B777s you will find there are profiles which people have posted on the ISG forums to make it a simple job to do the work. The really tricky part for me was getting the LNAV and VNAV buttons correctly positioned on the mode control panel, which took a bit of sussing out to get right in the Aerosim version. But you can see from this screengrab where I was able to add FMCs and other stuff to the Aerosim 777's VC:Note that there are a few other things added too, such as the FSFK ACARS, the DBS profile radar and the CS weather radar, but the PFD LNAV and VNAV and the FMCs are all from ISG's avionics package. You won't be sorry if you use freeware or 'lite' sim aircraft and you buy the ISG avionics, they are one of the most invaluable FS add-ons there is, and they work in both FSX and FS9 too. Seriously recommended.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Seriously recommended.AlI have seen your setup and tried to do what you have done incl your panel.cfg file.Because I don't have FSFK or DBS profile, I first left those entries in the panel.cfg file and later trid without them in the panel.cfg file. Here I have the ISG1 package as also the Aerosim B777 ( updated ) and the CS 757 with weather radar. However I have the following issues :- No PFD in the VC ( 2d is working fine )- No FMC's in the VC or 2D panel- No CS weather radarSee the attached screenhot.I don't know if it has anything to do with it , but I am using W7 64 bit and FSX Accelerations. November 30, 201015 yr I use VAS FMC. Though it doesn't have all the FMC functions. http://vas-project.org/ 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
November 30, 201015 yr Gerard. Copying the panel CFG tweaks I made for the Aerosim 777 is only going to work on that exact same model if you have that one, the panel locations will be different for a different FS model. To clarify...Essentially, it works like this: Each FS virtual cockpit has a series of areas in it where you can display gauges, and you place gauges in those locations by telling FS where to put them via the various gauge size and coordinate info lines in the panel config file. If you think of it as being like the panel config file coordinates are controlling projecting a movie of the gauge onto a tiny screen in the VC where the gauge should be, then you've basically got the concept, i.e. if the projection coordinates are off target, you won't see the gauge. The panel config file tells FS at what size and exactly what location in the VC to display the gauge. Since different modelers create VCs in very different ways, the chances of the position coordintates being identical for the PFD in the POSKY and Aerosim 777s is extremely unlikely. So to work around that, what you have to do is this...On your original VC panel config file, there will be an entry for the PFD with size and coordinate info, as well as the name of the gauge. What you do, is highlight the name of the gauge you want to put in there instead (in a text editor), and copy it so it is on your computer's clipboard, then, you open up you VC config file you want to change, highlight ONLY the name of the gauge you want to replace NOT THE COORDINATE INFO, LEAVE THAT ALONE, then paste the name of your gauge so it overwrites the old gauge name. When you've done that, save the file but leave it open and fire up FS. Now, load up the plane and observe where the gauge shows up. It might be fully on show (if you are lucky), half displayed, at the wrong size or whatever, so, if it needs a tweak, you then alt tab back to the config file and alter the coordinate and size info for that gauge in the panel config file and save it again. You can alt tab back to FS and reset the flight to see what your change has done, you don't need to restart FS. It can be a tedious process, but you can make it work.Rinse and repeat with any other gauges you want to swap until you are happy.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
November 30, 201015 yr Author Finally got it to work !My fault : I had forgotten the ! in the gauges names.... :( One last thing : which lines you have added extra in the ISG1 ini file ?There are so many one can add. These are the ones I now have :LoadFuelonFlightPlanLoad=1 // Load Fuel automatically when Flight Plan is loaded into FMC or MCUSetDestLoadTowerViewDist=20 // The distance from the destination airport when the tower view is changed to the destination (FS9 only)SetMCUToPageOnFPlanLoad=1 // Set the active page on the MCU to the 'TO:' page when a flight plan is loaded. DispAppPtrnAlts=1 // Display Approach and traffic pattern altsShowTodBodIndicators=1 // Show TOD/BOD indicatorsDispPrevWpt=1 // Display Previous flight plan waypoint (MFD,EHSI).ParkingFile=isg_parking.txt // Parking positions fileWptProcChgDist=2.3 // Waypoint change distance for procedures (Sid,Star, etc)Beside this there is the isg/aircraft folder which is being used by the FMS.There one can add descent rate etc.Did you make a file for the Aerosim B777-200 ?Thanks for the help. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
November 30, 201015 yr I'd really recommend reading the ISG manual explanation of what lines do what in the ISG config file, since a lot of it depends on personal preferences for things like pausing at the top of descent etc. Offhand I think I added about six lines into there for the FMC.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
