Airbus more interesting than Boeing for Airliners?

Hi All,Lately on flightsim communities Airbus is getting more attention than Boeing. I guess much is related to the fact that in the FS2000 period many very good Boeing aircraft are built. Now these designers switch over to Airbus. But in real life I also see KLM, Cathay Pacific switching over to Airbus. Is it a hype or what reasons would they have to switch over to Airbus? well in FS it's probably because of the new planes like the PA A320 and the SB A340..and the upcoming FlightCraft A340....and the upcoming PA A319...All of thse planes are extremely well done so people are flying them. If there were teams like that for Boeing then people would probably fly Boeing. I myself do not have a favourite between Boeing or Airbus...I fly whichever one is better in terms of realism/accuracy/VC/and panel. At the moment my favourite one is the PA A320.Take careMike

Alot of airlines are buying Airbus because they're cheaper. Since 9/11 the airlines have not had alot of money, & they need to buy cheaper aircraft. In my opinion, Airbus & Boeing are fairly evenly matched, but why buy a more expensive aircraft when there is one that is just as good for cheaper? I think Boeing needs to modernize their a/c more to truly be competitive with Airbus in today's marketplace.

To be honest I'm a Boeing person myself, but lately i'm getting more and more into Airbuses. I never used to like them, but now that i've started, I may not stop flying them and I love the PSS panel.
