January 27, 201115 yr Overall much better, but..your feeling on the flair where it did tend to keep flying with the slightest of flair?I must get use to it. Still feel like I am going to land front wheel first and when I just pick it up you need to so carefull.. am I missing the boat here..It just still feel if it is not in love with mother earth and want to stay up there on the landing.Advice from a RW C340 pilot was to land with a minimum of flare to avoid ballooning and floating down the runway...May take some practice to achieve consistently.. but every airplane is different. Bert
January 28, 201115 yr Thanks Bertyes I have read that article and try to do it. I have nailed some really nice landing that way but you have to be carefull to not pull up too much.. However I can confirm it work if you do it like he said, but man I need some way more practice to do it right every time.
February 6, 201115 yr Just bought it and have flown in seveal times. great job. however, how do you set the altitude hold on this thing????????????
February 6, 201115 yr Commercial Member Just bought it and have flown in seveal times. great job. however, how do you set the altitude hold on this thing????????????You have to be at the altitude you want to hold before engaging the ALT button on the autopilot. It'll hold at whatever alt you're at when the button is pressed. February 7, 201115 yr Commercial Member Does this aircraft get the wobbles when adjusting the prop settings as reported on their Seneca? In my experience, yes it does. It's confusing, because they more or less eliminated this problem with their Bonanza in a service pack, but this one still suffers from that problem. Looks like I'll hold off on getting this for a while. I was considering getting this aircraft & looking forward to their Baron when released but if they can't solve this problem with their twins then I'll have to wait & hope someone comes up with a fix.I find the wobble the default Baron get's is quite annoying so don't want to have a payware aircraft that does it also. February 7, 201115 yr Does this aircraft get the wobbles when adjusting the prop settings as reported on their Seneca?Try lowering the value for prop_tc in the Propeller section of the Aircraft.cfg file to reduce the "wobbles" when adjusting prop. I reduced prop_tc=0.1 to prop_tc=0.006 for an aircraft with good results.Rick

If it works for me then Carenado might get a couple more twin sales. The C340 sure looks like it's got a great VC. February 7, 201115 yr The C340 sure looks like it's got a great VC.If only Carenado had the love for airplanes as A2A, they would produce more than just nice looking aircraft. With the number of addon released, it's look like more quantity than quality.
February 7, 201115 yr If only Carenado had the love for airplanes as A2A, they would produce more than just nice looking aircraft. With the number of addon released, it's look like more quantity than quality.Their airplanes are actually pretty darn well made! They may not be fanatical about systems modeling - but after the inevitable patch, their latest aircraft (Seneca, Bonanza, C340) are all well worth having IMHO..Does this aircraft get the wobbles when adjusting the prop settings as reported on their Seneca? With the Seneca, I found that the better fix, was to reduce the head motion...Now, I have it set this way for all airplanes:[DynamicHeadMovement]HeadMoveTimeConstant=0.33 // was 1.0LonAccelOnHeadLon=-0.005 // was -0.02LonAccelOnHeadPitch=-0.010000MaxHeadAngle=2.5 // was 5.0MaxHeadOffset=0.15 // was 0.30RollAccelOnHeadLat=0.010000RollAccelOnHeadRoll=0.100000YawAccelOnHeadLat=-0.100000 Bert

February 15, 201115 yr Hi everyone,I'm about to move from FS9 to FSX and I have both the C340 and Duke in mind (I'm looking for a Multi for IFR).Basically I'm looking for realism, I don't care If one is prettier than the other, if one has wipers, or if has been made by company A or B, I want realistic FDE, checklists, procedures and MANUAL (something that usually turns me off with Carenado) . I basically use FS for training purposes so it's really all about realism.Where should I go?thanks guys.best regards,Igor

I use it for the same thing.

I use it for the same thing. Thanks PingPong,I have 2x 430W since that's the setup that I fly in real life. I was checking Real Air Duke's Manual and I saw that it has integration but I couldn't find nowhere saying, or even screens showing that I can add 2x 430W. All the screens have 1x430 + 1x530 or just one unit. So I'm wondering if it Is possible to make a 2x430W stack WITH RealAir's Config Utility or If I have to edit any .cfg etc...thanks again,Igor
