Like a law against cutting off mattress tags, or a fine for not shoveling snow from sidewalks, or chewing gum while walking backwards on a Thursday.
I still don't understand it when everyone brings that up. If you look closely at it, doesn't it say something to the effect of "It is unlawful to remove this tag, except by the end user/consumer/etc"? Assuming I am correct, it is perfectly fine for us to do it. It's more a restriction for the manufacturer/distributor.That aside, I do see your point, and I definitely agree with you on the fact that some clauses are particularly asinine. Their only argument might be that an improperly-configured router is a security weakness, but it's not a particular worry because most brand-name routers are reasonably secure (most likely just as secure as theirs) out of the box.

I had Norton's 60 day trial when I got my computers, I uninstalled it almost immidiatly. I downloaded Avast Antivirus, it works like a charm.

I dont know about the laws where you live, but im pretty sure it would be illegal for an ISP to say that you are only allowed to connect with one device for one internet connection where I live. I do realize that people have less freedom in other countries than Norway tho

Yeah I used Eset NOD32 for a long time but MSSE actually scored better in independent testing - no one knows the OS better than Microsoft themselves, plus it's free.
Please Gents! Are we talking security issues, or do protest for one or another company's paywares? Pffffff! Its about the user's choice although - hints very wellcome! In my perspective, Moonraker is in the hole of the white rabbit. He is alone with his problem. That's all. (Sorry for my english!)For those, who are not using NIS 2K11 with FSX - I can tell you guys - I have no problem at all! The PC is not a hardcore gamer construction. But works well for me: 24-29 fps guaranteed even high resulotion (high visual effect settings etc.)So, plesae focus on the target: the NGX, and its debut!

Whoever said ignorance is bliss? Raised%20Eyebrow.gifRouters are not illegal, I don't care who your ISP is. I used to work installing videophones, and it REQUIRED a router, and I've done a lot of work with many different ISPs on routers.Don't be stupid, plug the ethernet into your ethernet port (yes, on the motherboard, not a NIC) and it will work without "workign with the ISP to activate it"And download the damned thing, activate it and then disconnect the internet if you're so afraid.. christ.
