Monitor calibration software

Hi all-Has anyone had any experience using monitor calibration software? I saw a post a while back regarding banding, especially at night and it never occurred to me that having my monitor out of whack may be contributing to the problem.I did a quick check at Amazon and see that software is a bit pricey, and I suspect that it's used primarily for photographers, not gamers. I'm not sure there's a distinct difference between the two, I'm guessing here.Thanks,Mark

Have used HUEY for years now and I am extremely pleased with the results... Replaced tons of minor adjustments constantly and it will even auto calibrate based on light levels in the room...-P

I'm using eyeone by xrite and it does work.It's a bit on the expensive side but it did get rid of most my horizontal bandings.I used to get them when flying at night and they were a royal pain in the... oh well neck ? lol. Those bandings were so bad that i stopped flying at night.I suggest you go check this link out and read this thread.The whole thing. Yes, Nick also suggested CE is better but it was abit late for me as I already bought id2. :)V
