Help Please pixulated textures (unsmooth textures)

Hello Lyod,I'll try and make this the last post for a while! I am nearly there and thank you for your time. My issue is best explained by the pictures I a have attached. I am seeking to gain a smooth look to my textures but at the moment I have this horrible shimmering look to them. I have a very powerful system and I am sure I can get a better look than the one I am currently getting. Please kindly take a look at my attached pictures.The picture at the bottom is the effect I am trying to seek, nice smooth look to the textures. Also, is there anything i can do to make the image clearer when flying lower, instead of the blur I get? Well, I can't see the shimmer in the pix but that could be from the MipBias level. I got definite shimmer at various distances when mine was at 7. I think I settled on 6 as a compromise - 5 wasn't crisp enough. Mine is added in fsx.cfg display.device section - I don't have numbers in the CCC.[DISPLAY.Device.ATI Radeon HD 4800.0]Mode=1280x960x32Anisotropic=1MipBias=6Blurry texture is commonly a result of overall system speed losing the race with aircraft speed. The faster you fly, the more frequently FSX has to reinitiate scenery display at the farthest fringes of your view and you can be in a another scenery cell entirely before the system get to that point - so it just starts over again out on the horizon. It gets worse the higher the resolution you fly and the faster you fly and the wider your scenery radius. OS, FSX, TP, HDD Reading and data stream just can't keep up. Even the best system has a limit.Loyd
