Complete RXP Retrofit

Recommended Posts

I love this aircraft and wanted to take it to the next level with a complete RXP retrofit. Unfortunately couldn't find any publicly available config files. So, dug into the panel.cfg file and manuals. Here is a config file (with directions) to retrofit this awesome aircraft (and the cargo expansion) with the RXP Flightline T, Flightline N, WX500, and GNS430 (and any combination thereof).Carenado C208 RXP RetrofitPlease read the instructions closely. If you have any questions, please let me know.Fly safe,-Dan

Right on! Thanks. I don't mean to be a pain but I dont own Flight Line T/N so I just wanted to see what it looked like before I bought it.

Rather than screenshots, quick video of the same turn during day with default Carenado gauges, then day and night version with the RXP retrofit. Same event was recorded in FSRecorder (to provide a common reference for all three sequences). Recommend watching video in 720p.Mainly to show the FLT and FLN series. Couple points of note regarding the FLT/FLN:- Choppy needle movement. Most noticeable at LOC intercept. This is a function of recording the event in FSRecorder at 7.5 data points/sec and forcing a 30 fps render during video record. I didn't catch this until after I had rendered the video and was too lazy to go back and re-fly/re-record/re-render. Both Carenado and RXP gauges are extremely fluid in the sim.- Turn Coordinator. You can see that some data isn't recorded in FSRecorder (like the ball position and FD location). In all honesty, the Carenado gauges are great! I fell in love with the RXP gauges back when I was working on my instrument ticket and RXP gauges were orders of magnitude more realistic/smooth than the stock FS9 gauges. I just included the FLT and FLN gauges in this retrofit in case people wanted them. Their install is a bit rough, but works for me.Cheers,

Hello!

It's me again and this time I have a problem to get RealityXP's GNS430 WAAS & WX500 WX radar working on my plane. I tryed many variations with panel.cfg but those Flightline N & T mesh my small brains. I would be very happy if I'll get my passanger version working first then the cargo version later bymy own.

I'm not really sure about what lines I must to stay out as I try this modification. And yes - I made backup my orginal panel.cfg and after that I try to modified this orginal panel.cfg - it's a correct way?

Anyway - the result is:

Hello again!

A little update. I got this RXP Retrofit almost working but there is still a minor problem or two. First problem we will see an attached picture and second is that I can't to change a radio frequencies on the GNS430 (ILS/VOR) by using middle button of the mouse as I normally do but mayby I can to find some solution from RXP forum but those "ghost" button - can I remove them somehow?
