February 16, 201115 yr Has anyone successfully integrated the RXP GNS-530 unit into the FSX stock Cessna 172 VC panel? If so, would it be possible to get your panel.cfg edits to do this?I assume there are pay-ware tools available to fit 2D objects into a VC? Does anyone have a suggestion for such software? Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
February 19, 201115 yr Hi Bruce, I guess you learned in the meantime about FS Panel Studio (http://www.fspanelstudio.com/). I'm a total noob with regard to pamel editing, however after trying that program I saw that adding RXP to the VC of default planes is childs play. So highly recommended.Best,Rob

Thanks, Bruce.Cannot be done. The 3d model does not have any open slots for the GNS to fit into..Getting a 530 installed in a VC is hit and miss - for some planes it works, for others not..The only tool you need is the Notepad editor. On the RXP support forum or the Carenado supportforum here at Avsim, you'll find panel mods that others are willing to share. If your goal is a 172 with a 530 installed, the Flight1 172 is your best bet. February 20, 201115 yr Thanks Bert, for correcting me. I actually tried it out and it's not possible with FS Panel Studio.
