That's impressive Charlatan. Those results are better than what Westman got on his 3770K at 4.6 ghz with the same memory. His results are linked in post #653. I'll be curious to see what you get at 4.5.

Indeed.  I was wary of whether the upgrade would be worth it, but was only averaging 40-41 on my i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz with 1600mhz ram previously.  Couldn't believe the results from stock to be honest.  Will try and play some more in the week.

I am intrigued by these results... Thank you very much for running these tests.

Nice result, it show the power of Haswell with fast mems

I run à very good 4670k today , retired the 4770k that one was 300mhz slower with the same cooling with vore 1.37v to the 4670k at 1.31v yes it do 5ghz on H110...

Have they improved the later batches of these processors or were your good results with the 4670k just the luck of the draw?

Not really inprovements on later batches , was lucky to find à good one.

I was lucky to have the option to test 10 4670k and keep the 2 best CPUs

Very informative results. Walter's and Charlatan's results clearly show the benefits of fast memory. And how much better the 4000 series is over my 3770k.

Can't see why anyone is buying 1600mhz RAM. Mine was only a fraction dearer than it

Hi

Here is a missing test seen no AMD tests decided to do one.

Can compare with my 2700K, 3770K, 4770K and I5-760 running the same mems.

Didn't know you had a FX3850 to play with. Excellent to see a result with Piledriver and see how much it differs against Haswell. You don't fancy running FSXmarkCPU on it?

Did testing single tread apps with the piledriver 3D01 ( dx9 ) now that it was bad but not this bad. Phenom II at 4.1ghz performs like à bulldozer or piledriver at 5ghz..

I had time to install fsx on the w7 disk and running it on the 670.

I forget to do the fsmark CPU test but shall do that.

Can anyone with AMD A10 7850K make a benchtest on FSXmark11.

Still can't decide if I should go with FX 8350 vs i5 4670/4670k.
