biting the bullet on Sandy bridge

After much hardware talks, I decided to bite the bullet. But I'm on a very tight budget. So obviously it's 2500k and I was thinking about this combo http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.616093 .Can anybody think of a reason not to get this mobo? I'm going to be running one GTX 460 768MB, only 1 hard drive and PSU is Corsair TX750.Thanks

I cannot think of any reason not to get that combo. It looks very good especially for the price.

The price is definately right. I looked at NCIX and could get an ASUS P8P67 but it would end up costing me about $70 more for the package. I really wonder if it's worth it. Reviews on Newegg seems OK for this Biostar board.Hard decisions... :Cry:

That actually looks pretty nice, and stays within my budget. I'm guessing the ASUS wouldn't have that much more for my needs for a $60 difference. I guess the Biostar board is ok, but MSI make very solid ones, and you will find a lot more feedback in case you need specific help on OCing it or whatever since it's a much more popular brand. It also has more USB ports and other small things.The ram is fine. If you want an extra 3% of performance, maybe a 4-5% if you overclock it to 1833 CL7, this is IMO the best bang for the buck RAM set http://www.newegg.ca...N82E16820231430As you can see the performance difference is minimal anyway, so it's up to you to decide whether it's worth it or not the extra 15$

Seconded on the MSI. Got mine stable at 4.5ghz with no problem at all.

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to it now. Started backup procedures as I intend to do a fresh install of Windows 7. At least it gives time to read a lot about O/C this thing. Is a Coolermaster V8 going to be enough to push it around 4.7 ? I'm also a bit concerned with the interaction between the Ripjaws X RAM sticks and the V8, it's pretty big. We'll see I guess.
