Blank textures when selecting other aircraft

Hey,When starting up FS9 it allways starts with the default Cessna.Recently I've installed a nice POSKY 777 United Airlines and all I get is the aircraft without textures ;(All other default 737,Cessna,Learjet works perfect.What could cause this problem ?(See attachment )Greetings

It would be helpful if you would provide the complete, exact name of the Posky file which you downloaded and where you found it if not from the library here. Also was this a complete package or a base file and then an addon texture for United?One of us can then get it and see if we can duplicate the issue you are having.Also some details regarding your system specifications would be useful.

Hi there,This normally will happen when your texture folder name will not match the name in the aircraft.cfg file.So you need to go and rename your texture folder of the aircraft to match the name in the aircraft,cfg or vise versa.so when you load the aircraft, the system can read the texture you are assigning to the specific plane. Yes, this. Check the line Walouigi mentioned in the aircraft.cfg file and ensure that the "Texture=" line matches exactly with the folder in your POSKY file called texure.xxxx.So for example if inside your POSKY 777 directory the folder is called texture.UA, if the aircraft.cfg file says something like Texture=UAL this will result in the blank textures, as the sim is "looking" for a folder called texture.UAL which doesn't exist as it's called UA (just an example).RegardsMartin

I just downloaded and installed the Unted package which you linked to.Absolutely no problems displaying the aircraft for me on my XP setup.The aircraft.cfg file is properly written.Did you unzip the package to a temporary folder first - and then read the instructions? Basically all one needs to do is place a copy of the folder named OS772V2_PW4074_UA in your Flight Simulator 9 aircraft folder and place a copy of all ten effect (fx) files in your default Effects folder.The aircraft showed up under Project Opensky as you can see from the screenshot.

I also downloaded the Airbus Iberworld package from Flightsim which you mentioned.Unzipped it to a temporary folder - my normal procedure - read the installation instructions - and then placed a copy of the resulting folder named Iberworld A330-343X into my Flight Simulator 9 Aircraft folder.Again no issues at all on my XP setup.No reason I can think of that the same procedure should not work for you.

Chalk it up to another one of those "Great Mysteries of Life". :( But seriously, it might be a good idea to open up the case of your computer and give the insides a really good cleaning - with compressed air (not with a vacuum cleaner due to the potential, of a static charge) - paying special attention to the fan and fan shroud around your graphics card. It is amazing how much dirt and gunk can accumulate there and possiby cause the card to overheat,Good Luck!

HiI had a similar problem a few months ago which I was unable to resolve doing the various things suggested above as well as trying other suggestions. Shortly before the problem occurred however I had modified various cfg and display settings trying to improve a stuttering performance and I think the modified settings may have put an excess load on my video card with which it simply could not cope. I solved the problem by renaming the fs9 cfg file as a backup and restarting fs9, which allowed fs9 to rebuild a new cfg file. I then carefully modified the various display settings, cfg etc one by one, rechecking fs9 with each modification, until I had fs9 optimised again and the problem has not recurred. This might be worth trying if nothing else helps (and you still have your old cfg file backed up anyway in case you need to go back to it!).Bill
