November 20, 200322 yr Hi,Discovered by accident (using advanced features of FSUIPC, FUIPC is however not necessary):Copy the FS9.CFG in your FS9 root map and add to the target command in the shortcut: " /CFG:fs9.cfg".hm
November 20, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi, I found the faster way to edit in any situation is the FS9 Configurator utility available at avsim.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFshttp://fsw.simflight.com/fsw.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
November 20, 200322 yr Hi,I must admit, the topic title is a little bit misleading, but I am using FSUIPC for programming the buttons on my joystick, and I tried to use two different button configurations. Following the FSUIPC documenatation you can define in the FS9 configuration file which FSUIPCxxx.INI file would be used. So I needed to define two different FS9xxx.CFG's each leading to a different FSUIPCxxx.INI (you can read that in the FSUIPC documentation.) But when I launched FS9, it started up as a new installation, didn't found the FS9xxx.CFG in"Documents and Settings ....." but created a new FS9xxx.CFG (the name I had defined in the run command) in the FS9 root map. So, if you use the /CFG: parameter the FS9 configuration file will be searched in the FS9 root map and not in "Documents and Settings...". Is it practical? Maybe someday ! ;). I can imagine that some addons (installers) would be happy with it!hm
November 21, 200322 yr I found it even simpler... I just created a shortcut to fs9.cfg and placed it in the COF folder... Opens it right up, yet it is still where it needs to be in case some obscure app or future FS update expects it to be there....-John
