April 2, 201115 yr I can just imagine a nutcase yelling out, "This is a hijacking!" in that high-pitched, helium-induced voice and everyone laughing their heads off. lol Matthew Bellette
April 2, 201115 yr Moderator Too funny! Actually, aside from the affect on the voice, it's a pretty good idea... :( Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
April 2, 201115 yr Too funny! Actually, aside from the affect on the voice, it's a pretty good idea... :(Good? The Helium would cost more than the jet fuel, probably much more.Unless you used cryogenic tanks you would need heavy high pressure tanks to replenish the helium level during the flight.Without careful management, replacing only the nitrogen in the air with helium, the occupants in the cabin would quickly suffer from the effects of inadequate oxygen.

April 3, 201115 yr Author That's the point. Gets them to shut-up from all that sleeping they will be doing.I second that. Last time I flew from Vancouver to Auckland.....14 hours sitting in front of two baffoons who got into their duty free booze and got tanked. They were arrested upon arrival in Auckland. Pump those guys up with some Helium to shut them up. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
