November 24, 200322 yr I would like to be able to transition from VFR to IFR (especially when VFR over the top), and get vectors to an approach. Is this possible in any way, shape or form with FS2002 (with FSUIPC 2.95)?I am familiar with one thread on this topic (I think by this point I memorized it!), in which you merely go to the flight planner and choose your destination and the closest airport for your departure point, and ensure that the option "No reposition on GPS Plan Load" is checked on the Technical tab of FSUIPC. No joy - even when I am positioned over major airports and use them as "departure" points, I never get a clearance, and figure I must be doing something wrong.it would be GREAT if I could get popup IFR clearances in FS2002, and would consider any ideas, suggestions, or freeware/shareware ideas. Thanks - Lee
November 24, 200322 yr I don't think you can in fs2002. One of the improvements of fs2004-along with all the option to do all approaches (not just ils).http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
