FSX crashing in the beginning of approach

Featured Replies

GuysI need your help. I recently bought the MD11, and she is a beautiful aircraft. But I'm having a crash problem in FSX in the beginning of each landing approach. I have looked here in the forum about it, and found several reports of the crash, but none looks like mine. I've W7, 64bit, FSX SP2, and only use the textures of Rex2 and UT2. I do my own flight plan in FSX, and I use the FSX ATC too. Everything goes well during the flight, perfectly executing the flight plan. However, and there is always a however, when starting approach for landing, the control asks me to leave the course and begin the descent. During the descent, close to 15,000 feet, control informs me in which I will land on the runway (ILS runway 10, for example). I insert the information in the MCDU, and continue to decline. Close to 10,000 feet, the FSX reports error and quits. IN ALL the flights I did with the MD11 it happened. Am I doing something wrong?? Maybe I'm not entering the data correctly, I do not know. During the flight, I hasten to time sometimes only up to 4x. Is that so? On the approach, my TCAS is turned on. This can influence? Please help me. I loved the plane since the first flight, but I'm missing that passion in every approach. Fly and can not get land is like falling each time. Forgive me my bad English. Google translate is not so good .... but it is still better than my english. Big%20Grin.gifBig%20Grin.gifBig%20Grin.gifBest regardsCristiano Mueller

Hi Travis. Thanks for the help. I read the post and made some changes in fsx.cfg. As for the error, no, he does not say that FSX is out of memory. He just says that FSX has encountered an error and needed to close. That's it. And only with the MD11 it occurs. I also have the PMDG 747-8, and this error does not occur. During the week it is hard for me to make long flights, then next weekend I will test the modifications. I'll post what I find. Thank you, Travis.Best regardsCristiano Mueller
