NEU Close-ups
:)Try to copy these and view them against a black background, you may not think so, but you are missing out on a-lot of detail against the white. These shots were taken near KCVGhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/50804.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/50805.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/50806.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/50807.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/50808.jpg

I like them !I especially appreciate this reddish glow too - one does see this stuff as well.Chris - I saw your post about airport lights. Could you describe in a sentence or two how you managed to enhance airport/runway lights. I thought the default was sort of sufficient. Thanks.Michael J.

Hi Michael,The default runway lights were, actually, nearly sufficient this time around. :)What I did was to brighten the source (light-bulb) and darken the glow. This gives them a much cleaner, almost 3 dimensional look. I also spent many hours adjusting the color emanations to match real world output. It would be far better than my explanation if you would give them a try. They can currently be found in my AEU MX release. :) Enjoy!

AI aircraft strobes - they all used to blink in unison until I made some modifications to fx_strobe.fx and fx_stobeh.fx (a search of the forums with that file as a keyword will bring up the thread) - now planes identification strobes blink randomly. Much more realistic.

Thank you Steve, I appreciate that. It appears that things are also going well for you and the team at FSD. Glad to see it. You've all really set the standard in product design. :)
