Help!

So whenever I let my computer just sit without me using it for awhile it will go to "sleep" and my power button will blink green until I hit the keyboard, mouse or the power button, and then the computer wil turn on again, sorta. Well my problem is that when the computer "wakes up" (powered back on). My keyboard, moused does not work. and my moniters will stay in the "sleeping" mode as if the computer is turned off, but the computer is turned on.I am running windows 7 ulimate 64-bit system. Any possible solutions??Thanks

Sounds like it might be a BIOS setting you need to alter. Try holding down the delete key on start up to get to the BIOS screen and check the various settings to see if there is something you need to select, particularly in the bit about power saving modes. You might also check the power saving modes for the operating system by right clicking on the desktop and checking the system settings for screensavers etc.If you are unsure about any of that stuff, simply note down the settings it is currently on and then you can go back to how it was if things go awry. The only thing you really need to be careful messing about with in the BIOS, is flashing the BIOS chip, which is probably best left alone unless you know what you are doing.Al

I will check the USB Wake up settings also in the Power managment for the USB Hubs, first in the Devices Manager. Checking the BIOS is an idea too though but I will tend to say it's a power managment issue as a first guess. Since you didn't say if it was waking up correctly before or not.Stephan

Go into control panel and then power management/options. Set the computer never to go to sleep. Problems solved!
