Saved flight question

Recommended Posts

I'm new to PMDG so forgive my ignorance.I searched for an answer but didn't see one.If I save a flight, panel settings, etc while paused about 1 mile before TOD, how can I get the flight to re-load in a paused state when I want to fly the approach again?Ned Hamilton

In the FSX free flight menu go to "Load [Flight]" and pick your saved position and load into FSX. Then open up the menu bar, open up the add ons tab. Go down to the PMDG options, somewhere it will say something like Panel State Load. Open that up and load your saved panel state.

I know how to save and load flights. My question was: will the loaded flight start in Paused state?

If you saved your game while it was running, don't think so. I thing you have to be paused while saving for you to be paused on loading, but I may be wrong.

Hey Ned I use FS9 so my answer may not be applicable to FSX, but, since you mentioned pausing your flight just prior to the Top of Descent, and then saving the flight, retrieving that saved flight should bring up the same panel state with the pause ON, awaiting your keyboard or flight yoke button assigned command to resume the descent, assuming, of course, FS9 and FSX are alike in this respsct.Tony Selario
