Does the copilot ever use the right ignition for engine start?Why do they start engine 2, 1st.?Excellent program. Very real.JimCYWG

Hi Jim,Some airlines might.Be sure to read the notes on Cross bleed engine starts using Ground Air. In that case, the left engine is started first... after being started you disconnect the GPU and Air, then perform and x-bleed start to start the right engine.Cheers,

Actually, I think the most common practice is to change the ignition from day to day to achieve even wear. For example left on odd days, right on even days.

That's the ignitors themselves, not the start sequence.

I see, I misunderstood the question. Actually, I though those are 2 questions, one for L/R ignition, and second for engine start sequence.
