Camera Issue

Recommended Posts

Check out the pictureIt's zoomed in by itself to an extent where after zooming out completely (ref : picture) the simulator looks like its been panned out on a wide screen. This also happened with FSX and now its happening in FS2004 with PSS 777 only so far. Any idea whats causing this and what I can do to get the camera back to normal ? Since its only happening on the 777 so far, I suspect its something to do with the aircraft.cfg and not the fs9.cfg. Then again, who knows!CheersKaran

Not sure if this will help or not, but there are a few things you should be aware of and which you can check.a. The 2D and VC cockpit zoom levels are recorded in any FLT file - the default FS2004 FLT has these settings:[Window.1]Order=0Active=TrueUndocked=FalseMaximized=FalseManualMaxed=FalseScreenUniCoords=0,0,8192,2500UndocCoords=0,0,0,0ViewType=NormalViewMode=CockpitViewDir=ForwardCockpitZoom=001.00VirtualZoom=001.00TowerZoom=008.00TrackZoom=004.00SpotZoom=001.00b. These (and many other settings) are passed on to whatever aircraft you decide to fly. So if you have changed the default flight (the one which is presented to you when you start up FS2004) to something else, and you saved that flight with different zoom settings, those setting would be passed on.c. You can use Notepad to open, view and edit (if necessary) any FLT file.Might be worth checking what you have and perhaps restore the default zoom settings. If you are starting your flight with a previously saved FLT, again check that FLT file to see what the zoom settings are.Hope the above makes sense and points you in the right direction.

David,You're a GENIUS! FSHotSeat had changed my default flight but I wasn't aware of the changes in other sections as well (in this case, the zoom). I followed your instructions to the letter and I finally have everything back to normal again :)Cheers mateKaran

Probably what happens when people change the default flight to another aircraft.David, I laughed when I saw this under your avatar hehehe 'FS Addict - No hope for recovery!' Have you made an appointment with the doctor yet? :( :( lol

Dave, in my case it was FSHotSeat that sneaked up behind my simulator and changed the settings ;)Cheers,Karan
