Great machine! I just wanted to ask if it is difficult to build a computer by yourself? How would you know where each cable goes to on the motherboard, is it in the manual? Thanks

Most cables can only fit in the proper slots due to shape or number of pins. Those that fit multiple spots you can figure out easily enough in the MB manual.

The ideal max voltage is 1.38v. My batch is 3052A185.I had another batch that was totally lame. I couldn't get past 4.5. I exchanged my 2500k for another one, (on the basis that I wasn't satisfied), and I got a new batch # and it was smooth sailing from there.

Can you confirm vcore is actually cpu voltage ?
vCore is the voltage supplied to the processor cores, not the CPU as a whole. There is another part of he CPU called the memory controller, and it is listed as VCCIO voltage in the bios. The mobo will overvolt the VCCIO voltage as well, so lock that down manually at an acceptable level.EDIT: When I was referring to 1.38v I was talking about vCore.

Ethan, I want a screenie of your 5.2GHz - 1.325V OC please! :( Full load with CPU-Z, core temp and all :(

I would put my VCCIO at ~1.0 and my VCCSA at ~ 0.9. FYI. (someone correct me if wrong)Off to work I go. *waves* Cya tonite.

40fps in the md11 and aerosoft airport....hmmm that seems pretty good. Ive got the i7 2600k with a gtx580 and at orbx ybbn with rex(light clouds) and the pmdg 747 im getting between 10-15fps on the ground and down to 9 in the air over the city.

Cameron Lett :)

Wow can't believe we are almost in the 5ghz standard realm. Something FSX will use effieciently. The clock not the cores ahahaha.

The A70 does the job very well, keeps the Temp below 62 C. i usually have 50 to 55 C when flyingKaman BA

If you did it all automated, you NEED to check your voltages. The motherboard likes to set them too high when the voltages are set automatically. You can KILL your processor real quick if your voltage is too high. It's not just about heat, it's about how much voltage you're pushing through this new architecture.
This is good advice. I basically don't ever recommend using whatever "EZ" utilities the board maker includes - just do it all from the BIOS/UEFI - it'll work a lot better that way and you have total control over everything.

Really good article here:http://www.maximumpc...p_step?page=0,1This was done for an i7 9xx system but the process is exactly the same for the newer ones too.I highly recommend subscribing to Maximum PC too if you're interested in keeping up on stuff - they do a good job at explaining the enthusiast/gamer stuff.

Turn off caps lock... Grats on your system.. Can only get my i7 920 to 4.0 with full load temps hovering at 75. My aim was 4.2 can't do it with this chip due to temps.Gonna buy a i5 and o/c it..Pete Walsh.

Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.
