Are you sure Robert? Just kidding. Thanks to you, Ryan M and Ryan G for clarifying what I guess was a misunderstanding of George's post on my part. I don't doubt that you guys will get it right.Justin JPS - I'm eagerly awaiting your performance (fps) benchmarks for this product. My 'conspiracy theory' is that performance optimisation is what is primarily holding things up.

...Oh- and on the comment regarding 1C... The whole reason we continue to hold the airplane and thoroughly test the entire product is that we FIRMLY believe we owe you a complete product that is as problem-free as we can possibly make it. After all- the day a customer purchases this product- they are giving us their hard earned money in exchange for the opportunity to see what it is like to fly the 737NG- and that is exactly what they should get. No hassles, no frustrations... no waiting for 200 patches while we try to fill in gaps between the pieces that work...That just isn't how we operate. But that's just my opinion. :( Thanks for tee'ing that one up for me, JT.
Hear, hear! I'll +10 that!If this is what you guys are pumping out now, what are simulation products going to be like 10 yrs hence? that thought really excites me. I already think that the ONLY way you can experience and immerse yourself in anything better than what PMDG sell is to; 1. Jump in a full motion simulator (and I'd say the graphics/sound in FSX in some cases could be better). &2. Jump into the cockpit of a real airliner and experience that! I think PMDG needs a new motto - and I'd love to think it would be along the lines of - As real as you can get (at Home)!.Thanks heaps Robert for the time, effort and blood, sweat and years you've put into this. I think we all appreciate it.Cheers,David.

Does this mean the product is in wider beta testing now after Saturday's build? Not sure if there were any more comments about that since then, I can't seem to find any. Thanks for your help.Edit: nope still not in beta:(

Simon

Your PMDG guys are amazing, just take your time and deliver a masterpiece.Almost unbelievable what you're capable to do within FSX limitations. ;-)Looking forward to sqeeze this bird out.Regards Sven

Thanks for responding Robert - never thought I'd actually get a post from the big man himself! Awesome. Now, I hope my post didn't come out the wrong way...reading it again, maybe it did. I was going to write a long response but thought I'd better just STFU, chew on my words and get in line with everyone else awaiting the opening of the big PMDG hangar doors (which is where officially?) so that you guys can roll out this beauty. J Thomasps. I didn't buy the iFly - have a friend who did and loves it....and theres a reason why I didn't which is why I'm here again today, checking the forums and the PMDG website product pages. But since I have your attention....besides the NGX, 777 and Dash8...there's a 'surprise' a/c.....care to elaborate? :(

J Thomas YBBN

^ the surprise clearly isn't a passenger plane. I'm guessing something like a fully simulated kite!

If folks find this interesting, I will try to do a few more posts as testing progresses. So let me know if you would like to see a few more.
no doubt, yes! this is the kind of tidbits most of us here are hungry for. just a little behing the scenes here and there and the pack stays quiet. I hope :(

George and Robert,I enjoyed reading that thanks for reminding me exactly why this is worth the wait. To me its the complete package, the model, the sounds, the fuctionality, and the customizable options. I have alot of company specific resources to fully operate this FSX NGX exactly how WestJet does it in the real world, the degree of simulation here is almost mind boggling. I have almost completed the NG CBT, studied my PMDG FCOMS, Studied WestJets FCOM, and I havn't any doubt in my mind that nothing I have have learned doing so in the past 4-6 months can not be applied to operating the NGX. Thats really amazing to even just think about. Keep it up guys, its worth the wait.
