May 24, 201115 yr We must commend the geek squad at PMDG it can't be easy modelling and bringing a super realistic 737 NG to a game that's over 5 years old.
May 24, 201115 yr Sounds like a bunch of hard work :( I´m really looking forward to my first flight with this beauty :( regards, Alexander Marx
May 24, 201115 yr Author ^ the surprise clearly isn't a passenger plane. I'm guessing something like a fully simulated kite!I bet it's going to be an advanced pogo stick simulation with the new glass avionics package. George Morris

May 25, 201115 yr Commercial Member Thanks for responding Robert - never thought I'd actually get a post from the big man himself! Awesome. Now, I hope my post didn't come out the wrong way...reading it again, maybe it did. I was going to write a long response but thought I'd better just STFU, chew on my words and get in line with everyone else awaiting the opening of the big PMDG hangar doors (which is where officially?) so that you guys can roll out this beauty. JT-No worries- you didn't come across "wrong" at all- but I you triggered a thought process I felt we should run with a bit. There have been some really whacky things said in other locations by folks who really haven't a clue what they are talking about- so... Sometimes reading a post here causes the thought process go gel just right. But since I have your attention....besides the NGX, 777 and Dash8...there's a 'surprise' a/c.....care to elaborate? :(Sure... When the time is right. :( Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
May 25, 201115 yr Sure... When the time is right. :(Somehow i hav the feeling that the unknown project will be "Coming soon"You know what i mean :( regards, Alexander Marx
May 25, 201115 yr Well said, I think no matter how long we wait, it is well worth it. PMDG is one product I never have to worry about quality, and the cool thing is every new release is better than the last one. I bet these add ons could be used as training aids they are that good. I am to the point, if PMDG doesn't make it then I most likely won't buy it as I am so spoiled on the quality of PMDG, am I a PMDG a really excited user?, you bet!Michael P. May 25, 201115 yr My 'conspiracy theory' is that performance optimisation is what is primarily holding things up.Let the optimization take up another year if that's what it takes. It would be an absolute dream for this plane to perform as well as the MD-11 does on my machine. If it doesn't, I might just keep flying the MD-11, lol. :( Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!

After a long hiatus, I took the MD11 out of hanger for a spin. After putting so many hours into the NGX, it was remarkable to experience the stark differences in design philosophy between the two aircraft. It will be interesting to hear about others experiences and impressions as well. You gotta love the opportunity these products provide for the flight simulation community! :( George Morris

May 25, 201115 yr These post always get me excited! I can't wait! The post by Ryan, George, and Robert following up "customer concerns" and questions are classy and respectful. I will be supporting PMDG thanks to the good experiences I'm having in this forum with the developers/beta testers. No A$$ kissing, I just think it needs to be said.Thank you all. I just remembered I'm on summer break, my girl friend is away for summer classes, and I haven't flown my JS41 in a while... ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

May 26, 201115 yr Regarding the detail of the product, I think that's the joy of PMDG and also of the FS community. Some of us know enough to get from point a to b and enjoy the product. Some of us enjoy detail flight planning, failures and advanced real world operations and they can still enjoy PMDG products. I often remember booting up an aircraft and tutting to myself that this switch doesn't work, that system isn't modelled etc. With PMDG and especially the current products your getting pretty much all the systems and functionality that's currently possible on the platform. So catering for all simmers from newbies to oldies is what makes PMDGs products stand out in my view. I remember buying the NG when I first started with flight simming. For weeks I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I read the manuals and out of sheer luck I managed to configure my first autoland. I remember on short final panicking that I had every switch and setting correct and I glided to a perfect landing. I was instantly hooked. 7 years later I'm still learning with PMDGs products.
