Michael, are you aware that you can get the destination ATIS report on your radio (with the correct QNH and winds) if you tune to 122.02? For this to work, you will need to have a flightplan in ASE and FSX with the relevant destination airfield, ATIS/flightwatch enabled in ASE, and DWC of course. In a way, this is like having ACARS giving you a heads up on expected arrival conditions hundreds of miles from touchdown, just like in the real world. I use it all the time, and it saves me from having to switch to ASE to see what the weather and QNH is inflight. I never use FSX's built in ATIS anymore, except when I'm on the ground at the departure airfield, since the "global" DWC weather matches the FSX ATIS report because I haven't moved yet.

Hi, do I need to file a flightplan in FSX as well? The flight plan on ASE is not enough? Thanks.James
