Ifly 737 NG FSX vs PMDG 737 NGX

Go ahead, Jim. :smile:Reduce me to single digits, make the insulting phrases and pictures disappear, justify them and .. post something useful, like an argument or at least a tolerant opinion. If I catch the fire of some people around, not the world is against me, but those people only (you included?). :( As they seem to get rather upset and insulting, I might also conclude to have hit a spot. So, what can we discuss now with only one product being available and the other one still in testing? Ideas?I've asked this question in another wording on page one and we still seem to look for an answer. It's hard to uncouple products from the image of the company, so please at least tolerate that some folks take everything into account and don't focus on stereotypes. So, seriously, what would be a valid and useful approach now?Maybe Jack can give some insights from the things he knows something about?

Well, discussing the two products I guess :( Over on the PMDG forum, one of the beta testers has confirmed that it is possible to single engine taxi. I know this will appeal to the people who like to follow the procedures of airlines almost exactly. Also, I think I read one of them mentioning burning through the brake discs due to the reversers not deploying on landing. That seems like a pretty cool feature!I don't own the iFly so I have no idea if that can do this aswell?

I'd say that the single engine taxi works on all planes coming with enough nose wheel friction (and at least one engine Just%20Kidding.gif). Could be a FSX flaw there since quite some birds seem to lose their ability to actually follow the wheel. I have to try the iFly there though.Did not work on the smaller GA twins of mine, at least when being static and beginning taxi. I ended up in circles there. The brake overheat is modelled on some of my birds. I think the Feelthere Embraers and the Maddog do this for example.I'd say features aren't a problem on the upcoming PMDG, they just hav to attract enough guys. That's only one aspect there.

Are you going to ring Jack ? Or are you just being a F.I.G.J.A.M ? Maybe you should, and then you won't have to be concerend if there is not enough paragraphs.

What insulting phrases and pictures are you talking about? Show me what PMDG did thats so horrible.Ok, my opinion. PMDG is made up of a great bunch of guys, who if you treat them with respect, you will get the same back. The problem is that some dont treat them that way and get equal on the way back. Look, I appreciate that you have appointed yourself as the community customer rights advocate, but it gets tiring seeing your arguments go around in circles. Some people will agree with you, some will disagree, and some will think your off your rocker if you know what I mean, but in the end we'll end up in the same way we started with nothing accomplished. Seems that's the way these never ending arguments always end up, just like FS9 vs. FSX arguments, no winners.

Nah my wife and I are just sitting here laughing. Thanks anyway.Hey Jim. Dont waste your time. He is just going to accuse you of insulting him (but only after he insultied just about everyone else on here), then he will give you the "victim" speech. Its getting old.

I try to remain hip .. but, is this English? :(

Ah, I see, still avoiding the topic, huh?Well, Jack, drop me that number and I see what I can do for your ego.Hopefully, you guys are aware that your 'professionalism' shown here added more substance to the complains than ever imaginable. Great show, no doubts, but do you think it helps your favourite dev? Really? Looks more like a disservice right now. :( One which doesn't get better by even more insulting.

I can truthfully say that in close to 20 years flying FS I have never heard anyone say "I am not getting that plane because I can't taxi on one engine and my brakes overheat on landing". This whole thread is about the most hilarious I have seen in a long time, please mods, dont lock it!

Usually when I am looking for an entertaining thread with rampant speculation I head over to the Microsoft Flight forum here at AVSIM, but today I have spent more of my time viewing this thread!Great job guys; there is nothing quite like comparing an model released from one manufacturer with the unreleased version from another manufacturer. This makes as much sense as comparing Microsoft Flight with Microsoft FSX.:LMAO:Regards, Mike Mann

What a pathetic thread. We had everything from a really excited user windstorm, a degrading picture, a 'dare to call me on the phone' machoism and guerrilla marketing. There is absolutely no need for these things in this tiny, insular hobby of ours.Sad.

BTW that wasnt a dare to call me on the phone suggestion. It was a call me because people will always be more mature and have respect for one another when there is a more personal aspect to things. I wasnt joking. I would actually rather talk to him. Who knows maybe he is a nice guy. It wasnt meant to be an internet tough guy thing. That is just plain stupid.
