July 6, 201114 yr Author mghthanks for the reference on EGLL proceedures.i have always found the BIG IAP a challenging thought - rate 2 reverse 180' turns at 180kts max & maybe with a southerly xwind component @ 6000' without a "fix" between the turns. there must be some interesting flying (bank angles) to be seen in west london on those days when R27 is in use. do the heavies (B767 & bigger) use that approach ?? for now, cheers john martin
