Dennis I just noticed your location of 1A9. Small world! When I was stationed at Maxwell AFB way back in the 80's I always used Prattville's airport for my touch and go's. That airport was where I received my Privates license from a cagey flight examiner.I remember thinking how the weather was closing in fast below VFR, but the guy just wouldn't quit fiddling. Once I got the ticket called Maxwell tower on the landline and asked one of my dorm mates to hold the field VFR for 10 minutes so I could hop back to the base before the weather went below visual!Brings back some old memories.
