What price are you willing to pay ?

Featured Replies

Something I do not understand..Why, why would someone tell a merchant how much they are willing to pay (or would like to pay) for a new product ? I am not going to mention which customers or which merchants (but it's all over-the-place), I am refering to. Whenever, you tell the merchant I am willing to pay $100.00+ you are basically shooting your-self on the brain. The merchant then thinks.."Hey, we were planning on selling this thing as a complete package for $65.00." "But, look the majority are wanting to pay over $100.00" 'So, how about if we split the product and charge different prices...In the end we will make 1 1/2 profit than what we initially expected. -- Now we know for the next product (next 3 years) we're going to charge another $25.00 higher than today..etc..etc..etc So, the final anaylisis is no matter how well you like that product--or how well it's developed--, don't suggest you will pay more than the competition. It's as foolish as going to a job interview and the recruiter asks you: "How much would you like to earn?" --Potential employee responds: "Ahhh, welll..ahhh.you can pay me whatever you want." Johnny
