Can you imagine what the PMDG BBJ is going to be like...

Featured Replies

Looking at what PMDG has already done and seeing how companies like Eaglesoft are doing with the Citation X (that virtual cabin is unbelievable). I can only imagine what PMDG could give us with the BBJ. Flying bedroom, conference room, etc., this should be an awesome add-on to say the least. I don't think we've ever seen a project featuring a business jet that could offer so much fun and potential. I wrote these guys hoping the BBJ was still in line for future release because I for one would love to see that add-on most of all. Until then I'll have the Eaglesoft Citation X.

Isn't there anyone else who's looking forward the the PMDG BBJ???

Yes, off course there are...but "answers" can only be based on assumptions and wishes/requests up to now, so the sense of this would be more a "praise PMDG; PMDG, pls include X and Y; the BBJ will be great...,etc.".I expect the BBJ to be a good add-on to the base back with some new features at a reasonable price.Regards,Stefan

>Flying bedroom, conference room,>etc., this should be an awesome add-on to say the least. Why should I get excited about flying bedrooms ? Are they going to model water faucets, taking shower or flushing toilet ? I hope not. As a pilot I stay glued to the instrument panel which is virtually identical regardless if it is BBJ or aanother 737NG.Michael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg

My point was having a detail private cabin in a 737 is something that hasn't been done before (at least not on the scale of a 737). I know the flight model, avionics, and framerates is what counts but what is wrong with great eye candy of something most of us would never experience in real life anyway.

I too would say that I don't care too much about luxurious virtual cabin interiors. I fly the PMDG 737-600/700 only with the 2D panel most of the time, because it's extremely functional and delivers acceptable performance on my system. I tried the VC+Cabin model once, and it was a slideshow ...I'd rather have a working weather radar integrated in the EFIS, now THAT's something I could drool over for hours! ;)VOlker :]

LOL It would _really_ be great if you could go back to lounge in your virtual luxury cabin, open up your virtual laptop, and fly virtual flight simulator. LOL would probably hurt frame rate though

and in the virtual flight simulator, you go to the virtual virtual cabin open a virtual virtual notebook and fly the virtual virtual flysim, but that will hurt the framerates even more :D

And then the virtual steward serves your virtual meal, after which you develop virtual gas and heartburn, and retire to the virtual john to take a virtual ram dump. Then, you notice that the virtual toilet leaks at virtually all altitudes and airspeeds, and you return to your virtual seat and wonder where the virtual hell your virtual co-pilot went with the virtual forms, which you need to virtually write up your virtual aerospace crapper.About that time, your real wife has some real input that gives you real heartburn, and you retire to the real toilet to fix the real leak, while your virtual flight passes its clearance limit. Such is real life in this virtual hobby.Meanwhile, I am still happy to get good performance (when I do) with the Kittyhawks, the FSD props (good luck...), the original Eaglesoft Beechjets, and PMDG B1900D, as well as other default and add-on cats and dogs. I will be dangerous and a public menace once I am free of college tuition payments and have upgraded my system to the virtual powerhouse we all want. Then, perhaps, the BBJ will come into the picture, and I will remember what fun I had on the epic voyages of the FFG BBJ's in FS2K2. Geeze. I sound virtually nuts here...
