Default Cessna keeps shuttting off the engine... (I think)

Recommended Posts

I've done 2 attempts at flying it and in both every few minutes the propeller stops turning, and I get these warnings (I have no failures set up) I keep getting these messages:L VAC R, Oil Press, Volts. Can someone help me? I did a full flight last night in the 737NGX, no engine shutoffs, what's going on?

Sounds like running out of fuel or mixture too lean. Are you flying from a high altitude airport? IAN

A full flight in the 737NGX with no problems, but you're having difficulties in the default C172? The "L VAC R, Oil Press, Volts" is the entire annunciator panel for the C172 in FSX, so that doesn't really help in isolating the issue. If one item is lit then that will help in knowing what the problem is. Are you ensuring the Alternator is on, as well as the battery, when the engine is running? Are you getting a "Volts" annunciator warning before the engine dies? Do you have enough fuel?

Try checking the "Enable auto mixture" selection in the FSX Realism settings and see if the problem goes away.

Try recalibrating your throttle, prop and mixture. Actually my throttle was a little screwy after installing the ATR-72 also but that was quite awhile ago.
