working weather radar in pmdg 747-400 x

It took some tim, but it is here!!!!A working weather radar in a pmdg aircraft. Watch and drool...I can not take the credit for this. I read the post of Mike_CFII_MEL at Ifly. I implemented it into a Ifly bird and now i have implemented it into the 747.I love this bird!! I am very grateful to Mike_CFII_MEL for sharing it with us how he did it. Don't worry.. You have to turn it on. Look in the manual for the clickspots..It really works, only in Virtual cockpit and only in fsx.. Have fun and enjoy!!! Rob Peters

The weather radar is supposed to sit on the ND so it's not really that realistic. Although in fairness its better that no radar at all!

I know that, but like you say, at least we have a weather radar in the pmdg.I can try to put it on the nd, but it will be separate and not together with the nd working.... Rob Peters

Nice tweak...I guess that you didn't find a way to get it merged wit the ND.(getting a transparent display to see through)

You can't. It will probably be in the 744v2 however.

He's referring to this method of displaying Capt Sim WXR in the 747, not the PMDG WXR.

Assuming you have the CaptSim weather radar installed, if you look at the end of the original post you'll see he says:

 

After that start it up, go to virtual cockpit, and you see a black screen!! Don't worry.. You have to turn it on. Look in the manual for the clickspots.

Hi, i have the 747-400X and i want to use Capt Sim WXR in 2D cockpit

Capt Sim WXR app for install the panel in the aircraft do not work fot the 747.

I try to do it manualy but i can not see the panel.
