Who's figured out how to tweak the colour options?

Recommended Posts

Go to your FSX folder > PMDG > PMDG 737NGX > 737NGX_Color.ini. Backup the file first and then replace the existing code with the one posted in the forum. Code of the last image is: [Panel Colors]COLOR_DAY=247COLOR_DUSK=115COLOR_NIGHT=57FLOODS_DAY_R_2D=255FLOODS_DAY_G_2D=155FLOODS_DAY_B_2D=38FLOODS_DUSK_R_2D=255FLOODS_DUSK_G_2D=155FLOODS_DUSK_B_2D=38FLOODS_NIGHT_R_2D=255FLOODS_NIGHT_G_2D=155FLOODS_NIGHT_B_2D=38LETTERING_R_2D=241LETTERING_G_2D=156LETTERING_B_2D=56TEXT_OFF_R_2D=220TEXT_OFF_G_2D=220TEXT_OFF_B_2D=235TEXT_FULL_R_2D=209TEXT_FULL_G_2D=230TEXT_FULL_B_2D=255TEXT_BG_OFF_R_2D=35TEXT_BG_OFF_G_2D=35TEXT_BG_OFF_B_2D=60TEXT_BG_FULL_R_2D=70TEXT_BG_FULL_G_2D=15TEXT_BG_FULL_B_2D=7FLOODS_DAY_R_VC=90FLOODS_DAY_G_VC=90FLOODS_DAY_B_VC=90FLOODS_DUSK_R_VC=155FLOODS_DUSK_G_VC=150FLOODS_DUSK_B_VC=145FLOODS_NIGHT_R_VC=255FLOODS_NIGHT_G_VC=192FLOODS_NIGHT_B_VC=0LETTERING_R_VC=255LETTERING_G_VC=162LETTERING_B_VC=0TEXT_OFF_R_VC=220TEXT_OFF_G_VC=220TEXT_OFF_B_VC=235TEXT_FULL_R_VC=209TEXT_FULL_G_VC=230TEXT_FULL_B_VC=255TEXT_BG_OFF_R_VC=31TEXT_BG_OFF_G_VC=37TEXT_BG_OFF_B_VC=106TEXT_BG_FULL_R_VC=60TEXT_BG_FULL_G_VC=12TEXT_BG_FULL_B_VC=5CABIN_DAY_R=64CABIN_DAY_G=64CABIN_DAY_B=64CABIN_DUSK_R=128CABIN_DUSK_G=128CABIN_DUSK_B=128CABIN_NIGHT_R=255CABIN_NIGHT_G=247CABIN_NIGHT_B=217VC_FACTOR_DAY=55VC_FACTOR_DUSK=80VC_FACTOR_NIGHT=90VC_BACKGROUND_R=30VC_BACKGROUND_G=32VC_BACKGROUND_B=35DOME_FACTOR_BRT=80DOME_FACTOR_DIM=60ANNUN_DIM_FACTOR=60

If you found a balance of color in the middle of the two screenshots you posted, I think that would be a close match to the link I posted above.

This is awesome guys! What we need is some sort of config utility to play with all these variables in a nice gui interface hehe. Any takers? The ability to play with these colours is spectacular. Good find gang.

How is this one? lighting737NGX5.jpgI just noticed that the colors are a bit less intense on this image. In the sim they look brighter ;)

You should make some addon package for this. I can change this values myself in file, but for someone who do not know, make 3 files with those colors (orange-yellow-yelowish), and upload it at avsim :) Tnx for last values :) Lj. Prodanovic

I literally cannot locate that 737NGX_Color.ini - it is not in any folder I search and look in. I have all files to show hidden too.

Should be in: FSX > PMDG > PMDG 737 NGX That's where it is for me anyways.

Must admit I've never seen that before. Strangely enough you're also missing the options.ini and shortcut.ini files. Unfortunately, I'm not really sure where to go from here other than to say open a support ticket.

It isn;t in the Aircraft folder? Maybe I forgot a step! Check the Aircraft folder inside the PMDG 737NGX folder ;) EDIT: It should not be in the Aircraft Folder. Check if your PMDG 737NGX folder has hidden files: Right Click > Properties > Uncheck Hidden

If it really is not there, you can perhaps create it: Open Notepad and past the code into the notepad. Then save it as 737NGX_Color.ini (select in the Save As popup at the bottom of the screen "Save as type:" set it to All Files.

It looks awesome Harm....
Thank you :) It took 90 minutes to get it right, but it is indeed way better than the default gray.
