Active Sky licensing for 2 computers

Recommended Posts

I have 2 pc's in 2 different locations of which I am the sole user. They are not networkable due to the physical locations of the boxes. Am I able to use ASE on each machine more easily now with the new release? It was a logistical challenge before making one offline (or something like that) before using it from the other per instructions I received from tech support.ThxRick

Hi Rick, The license agreement is still the same: One Online install and the rest must be Offline installs. If absolutely necessary for 2 Online ASEs, then a second license would need to be purchased.

So how do you make it an offline install?I have the problem now with the AS2012 too, since I am using graphics engine from AS2012, and installing over network is a big no-go, wifi 54mbit, slow Intel Celeron CPU... takes a century to install. So I install on the main computer, but still want to run weather engine from the laptop, not causing my FSX to stutter when flying, beside running full screen prevents me to see the weather. Is there any way to use them both?

Hi Srdan,Yes, you can use two copies, with only one using online access.. .for the texture part of things, the ideal situation would be to load up the weather on the ONLINE client, save it, load it up on the OFFLINE server then do any plan import/wx influenced install you want. Then close the offline server and continue... this only applies if you want wx-influenced... otherwise, you don't need any weather loaded on the server, just select and install...

Hi,I have the same issue than Rick(that two compters two locations). And the place where I go about 5 times in half moth has the working AS2012 installed(I first installed it to my home and then to our cottage. At cottage it works fine but at home it doesn't. Says about something "This license has already been activated several times...". I think that the problem is that the "online" AS2012 works at cottage and the "offline" AS2012 goes on my home. Is it possible some how to switch those places?Best regards,Lauri SivuojaPs. I have tried to make a ticket but no one aswers and I need to solve this very quickly(a event is coming at my house...)
