Erratic FF Joystick

I bought the MS FF2 joystick and so far I like it a little bit... why is it so erratic though? I'm assuming it needs a profile or something but it just isnt smooth. Anyone up to helping me out?

Might be the aircraft flying isn't setup for force feedback.There is a program here at avsim called force feedback utility it will add force feedback to aircraft that don't already have it.:-outtahttp://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/images/675-2fs.jpg

Nevermind... I've flown around a little bit in CFS3 and it wasnt erratic at all... I just wasnt used to it at all... lol... its really fun now... feels weird but fun :)

Todd, I was using a Logitech FF stick and at times, it too would flop around wildly, especially on the ground. I think it came from the MS FS2002 program when it was trying to simulate rough surfaces on the taxiways/runways. When mine finally died I replaced it with only a standard stick with rudder function so no more flopping.Terry
