August 10, 201114 yr I assume turning off the pilots in the outside view is not saving me any fps since they still seem to be there, only stowed neatly on top of one another! Chris Hicks

August 10, 201114 yr Lol! Are FPS that bad that you need to disable the pilots? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 10, 201114 yr Author Lol! Are FPS that bad that you need to disable the pilots? Heavy clouds are killing me. Frames are perfect in clear weather, especially externally. I had turned off the pilots early on before I had made other optimizations. It didn't make a difference, but I never got around to turning them back on. I was outside enjoying the external view during cruise when I zoomed in a little too close and found those guys. Chris Hicks
August 10, 201114 yr Yeah, clouds are a pain. I noticed that clouds will bring a system to it's knees especially quick if using AA/AF settings other than Nvidia's default for FSX. I've come to terms with this fact, and only use FSX's internal AA and trilinear filtering. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

August 10, 201114 yr Author Hidden Gay Rights agenda? Oh that's not for this forum. Sorry Mods. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I miss Seinfeld. I'll have to try the AA method you use. You're on a far more robust system than me, so I'm not sure if I'd benefit or not. Chris Hicks
August 10, 201114 yr I don't believe these are simply pilots, it's the Autopilot. I always suggested him down there. With kind regardsRoland PohlVice chairman FSC e.V.
