Sound suggestion: More aggressive call-outs and warning sounds

Featured Replies

You can adjust this in the CDU: Main volume 80% and the sub-groups except warnings 60% You could do this direcly in the 737NGX_Options.ini Should look like this: [sound]PlaySoundsInExtView=0SoundDevice=Luidsprekers (Realtek High Definition Audio)SoundMasterVolume=0.80SoundGroupValue.0=0.60SoundGroupValue.1=0.60SoundGroupValue.2=0.60SoundGroupValue.3=1.00SoundGroupValue.4=0.60SoundGroupValue.5=0.60

I seem to have lost the voice sounds such as the call outs on take off etc etc.I had not changed any settingsbut the voice has dissapeared!I have tried altering the setting in FSX sounds to 100.% and checked in theFMC thar settings show OK.Could you affer me advice please?Trinidad.p,s the resetting 100%is voice others50%.

With regard to my post 10/09/11 I have tried the Q twice and other measures.I do get some voices eg banking but no call outs on take offor descents.Could Armen please give me a lead. Thanks Trinidad

If you cannot hear the callouts at all then it sounds like the PMDG Sounds are not configured to use your active sound card. Goto the CDU and press the "MENU" button. Then select "PMDG SETUP" > "OPTIONS" > "SOUND".The click on the "DEVICE" item - the 4th one.Now make sure your soundcard or soundcard channel is the same as the one used by Windows / FSX.

Don't change a thing! It's the first add-on jet that I have not had to lower the volumes...usually these wav files are blastingly loud.... so much to crackle my speakers... don't know why, other add-on programmers feel the need to blast you with these callouts....it's not realistic, it should just be a fairly quiet, but noticeable volume.... not loud enough to startle you! In the Beechjet, there is no adjustment to these callouts...but I'd say PMDG did it right based on what I now from flying a real BE400A

I just noticed while watching the video the OP posted, the person with the camera has the headset over the camera's microphone and I think the callouts are coming over that which is why it sounds so much louder than the NGX does. I'm not exactly sure though.

Thank you Amen but I still have a problem.I have done as you suggested. The were 2 alternatives on device one spks(creative SBX)and oneSPDIF out(creatve SB) I tried both but still no voice on T/O and descent call outs. The puzzle is that those voice call outs worked for about10 days after installation and as far as I know I did not schange any settings.I have my master volume @80 and others @50 but I tried upping the voice to 100.I tried yes to external view and no to seeif that helped but it didn't.I have tried Q(2 clicks)but that filed to bring on the voice overs.Any further suggestions please?Trinidad

Guys, With sounds - you can never please all of the people all of the time!!! smile.png but you can tweak the sounds as you wish - try this little tutorial. http://forum.avsim.n...ouder-callouts/ Cheers,
Yes, but you can aim to satisfy SOME of the people, no? I never hear callouts of any kind and do with every other 3rd party aircraft that sports them after a default installation! Noel
